This is a quote from Rog's dvd narration of the wall, run like hell. If ever there was a Riff, Its this one. I recon its an odd time signature because it would have originally been some kind of tapeloop on a watkins, probably looped around a few microphone stands and a coffee jug which they picked up on and fitted the song around it. then they jump back in to 4/4 twelve bar for that mid song jam, more like home to a blues/rock band.

I agree, love the reggae version and Flaming Lips do another alternative DSOTM cover that is worth a listen. But it's the original PF that always sends a shiver up the spine

Yeah... I agree. I love PF and have for many years, but Money (and Time, two things I never have enough of) or a couple of the very small handful of songs I don't care for. This is version feels like it goes on forever and just doesn't add anything to do the song. It's like they are trying to kill time in the concert and just noodling around.

This album needs a serious vacation. The marathon sessions of a whole album side, played over and over, are actually starting to make me tire of this brilliant work. My first thought when I heard this play was, "OMG, again?" When I start feeling that way about Floyd, there's something wrong.

I love songs that show how bluesy, how jazzy Pink Floyd has always been, all the way back to their wild Syd days when improv was the norm and frenzy was the theme. Music like theirs will never get old, and sounds good no matter what you're doing to it. Thanks, RP!

I think I heard Bill threaten to do this once... I went away to let Floyd play in the background and after a bit I'm going "Pink Floyd still playing? Is it happening now?" Sure enough. Although I'd probably opt for "Umma Gumma" or something unpalatable this is pretty cool. Keep on keepin' on Bill.

I didn't know what to think at first...heavy bassline was cool, but not sure. Then it continued and got a bit jazzy cool in the middle, then on to the end.

I don't listen to commercial radio so I don't mind when "hits" are played on RP...I rather enjoy it even. I haven't heard Jumpin Jack Flash in ages. Or Money ....Until now. The earlier studio version is better, anyway, imo. Is this really a "live" version after all the engineeers and mixers got done with it?
the vocals are not good, but the guitars are strong. good extended solo work. 8.
