Got a good reason
For taking the easy way out
Got a good reason
For taking the easy way out, now
She was a day tripper
One way ticket, yeah
It took me so long to find out
And I found out

She's a big teaser
She took me half the way there
She's a big teaser
She took me half the way there, now
She was a day tripper
One way ticket, yeah
It took me so long to find out
And I found out
(Hey)

Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah
Ah

Tried to please her
She only played one-night stands
Tried to please her
She only played one-night stands, now
She was a day tripper
Sunday driver, yeah
It took me so long to find out
And I found out

Day tripper (yeah)
Day tripper, yeah

Day tripper
Day tripper, yeah

Day tripper

First riff for every electric guitar student

and that first note,  you know what the song is
So ahead of its time in 1965.
It's not that this isn't a really good song, but come on RP: this song is sooo overplayed on sooo many stations that we just don't need to hear it here at all.  There are sooo many other Beatles songs that we DON'T hear soooo often that we would still love soooo much!

Enough with this mediocre band already..

Mediocre listener is more likely :^ /  I mean, if you are under 35 or so I can kind of understand if you don't like their type of music, but to say they are a "mediocre band" is just ignorant.
First riff for every electric guitar student

Ok, time is rushing frightening ...
My first single I bought - 5 "Deutschmarks".
The single is gone, but the music is still acting on me.

Enough with this mediocre band already..
I am over the Beatles...  but not this one.

Yes, quite a notable riff.

They had everything. As do we if we have all their albums.

As this song plays and the snow flies on the swirling wind here in stunned and strangely silent Tokyo, I can never forget the day so long ago when this funny kid came a bit late into the somber classroom singing, "—It took me soooo long...to find out...but I found out!" and it started quite a discussion.  Some of those nuns were actually pretty darned cool...within the hour, Sister Roberta had pulled in a turntable and found some records and got our spirits way on up; had all of us clapping and dancing to Beatles tunes in the classroom while Winter raged and the snow fell outside...HAPPY TIMES CONNECTED FOREVER BY THE MAGIC OF MUSIC...thanks, RP!

Take a look at this list and you can see how far in front of the times the Beatles were. Eddie Arnold - Make the World Go Away being equally popular in those days

I'm not sure how much that chart shows The Beatles being "in front of the times".  There are a lot of artists on that list other than Eddy Arnold; for example: Simon & Garfunkel, James Brown, The Hollies.
Edgy Beatles.   This one was on the first ever LP I bought.
For as much as Paul was "the cute one" back in the day, damn, that man could play the bass.

I could use a little Crying Time Again.  Ray at his best.

According to Wiki, originally it was something else, which was change to "BIG"; wouldn't want any kind of radio ban back in '65!

Just learned this one yesterday on the guitar..... nice to hear it this morning at work..RP you make my life sooooooo gooooood
Good song; not as good as the flip side We Can Work it Out, but then again what is?

Everybody in my church loves this song...

Another great song.  And, as others have said, they really put out some quality music at a time when Rock needed it.
Love this song also, especially the guitar riff beginning...and what happened to Romeotumo?  Now I have no one to follow?

Everyone in my hotel room is sad!

Epic awesomeness.

Number 4 the week of December 8, 1965!

I've always loved this song.

I first owned the single with "we can work it out" on the other side of the 45. Jeez, that's revealing.
Big competition to be the first to figure out the theme vamp—I think my brother won. Of course when we played it, "She's a prick teaser..." We thought we were such naughty boys.
Outstanding and in STEREO ! {#Music}
What is that topknot on George's head about?  Looks like Woody Woodpecker!!
It's wonderful how these Beatles tunes still stand up as good music. They kept me going through the bleak winter of 80's music.

Even though I was only 6 months old when this song came out,I love it and it's a great rock song like most of their music! :D
