I think 7 is too low, I gave it an 8, but might change it to 9. As for the haters, if you're looking for music that isn't the least bit challenging RP might not be the place for you. The War on Drugs might be able to think of a place where you can go.

There are a few more songs I have ranked a sucko-barfo 1, but not many... this song is definitely one of them... I love a lot of songs by Fever Ray, but Karin Dreijer Andersson may as well have mercilessly chopped the original version up with a chainsaw... that's what it sounds like... run for the hills!
I always have an open mind when it comes to cover versions, but this one just sucks.

Yep. I must agree with the general tone of the comments here. This one pales in comparison to the original.

This is almost painful to listen to. Not that I could do any better, but I'm not paid to make music.

I think if you are going to do a cover of song, make it your own. Don't make it a half and half-still hold to theirs but add a little something. Make it entirely your own version. This sounds like Peter Gabriel's song with added electronics and a more upbeat tempo. And maybe that is all they intended, but I just feel they left it short. They were on their way to a really great song. Manfred Man took "Blinded by the light" by Bruce Springsteen and made it their own. Some may not like what they did, but they made it their own... so to speak.
Kinda tedious.

Interesting. I'd thought that the eponymous Fever Ray album was to be a one-off, so I'm pleasantly surprised to see a second album was released. Not a great cover, this, but it's ok. I look forward to RP playing other tracks off this album.

Doesn't work for me either. I think she should've gone further with the modifications. Like this I can still hear the original underneath it, and the alterations make me cringe. I could, though, go for a version way more different; inspired from the original, but clearly different.

It's not the greatest cover I've ever heard, for sure, and I'm a fan of Fever Ray. Hers and Gabriel's styles are perhaps too mismatching for this to ever work, but kudos to her for giving it a bash.

I seem to be in the minority, but I think this is a creepy cover of this song. Original SO much better.

I like the arrangement but the fuzzy vocals wear thin very fast. Sound like they are in a hole with a bad connection.
Just not sure what I think of this, just yet. It's not bad, really....quite good if I'm honest....will rate it later.
