Ice storm's coming
Nothing ever warmed us
So your lantern light glows at the forest
Golden armor
Nothing ever harmed her
Oh you'll dance through Hell
And come back through the water

I'll walk in the golden light
After the sun burns out
Loneliness you're haunting me
I'll laugh and cut you out
We're neither here nor there
Swept up by the sea
Birds fly into my room
When you sat with me
We're neither here nor there

I owned an art gallery
Until you stole it from me
Oh my son will throw stones
And shatter all your windows
Golden armor
Nothing ever harmed her
Oh you'll dance through Hell
And come back through the water

Buried under water
I'm buried under water

I'll walk in the golden light
After the sun burns out
Loneliness you're haunting me
I'll laugh and cut you off
We're neither nor there
Or some place in between
I brush by you in the smoke
It steepens floating me
It's neither here nor there
It's sucked up by the sea
Birds fly into my room
When you sat with me
We're neither here nor there

Buried under water
We're buried under water
A ghost home

I start to rememeber
You're not the only one who knows
And now that I start to remember
You're not the only who knows
And now that I start to remember
You're not the only one who knows
And now that I start to remember
You're not the only who knows
And now that I start to remember
You're not the only one who knows

I can assure you that long-time member fredriley isn't self-aggrandizing.  Park your snark, please; this isn't Facebook.

He was referring to this:   "In the summer of 2009 writer, composer, and general architect of the group (Lost in the Trees), Ari Picker, lost his mother, an artist in her own right, when she took her own life. Picker set about transforming the events into a musical tribute, composing and writing with his mother’s picture above his desk: the same picture that now graces the album’s cover. "

First: thank you for the background info on the album theme, Ari Picker's intent and writing process, and identifying who's in the cover pic.

Second: c'mon, lighten up, Francis. I, for one, liked and appreciated the little GIF joke about "glissandi."  It doesn't come off as any rip on @fredriley.

Thanks for that. It adds a whole new and poignant dimension to the cover, and I hope it'll forestall rude comments about it.

Tricky and tricksy song. Those semi-discordant piano glissandi towards the end travel right up my neck and make my hairs stand up. A grower, I suspect.

used to drive me crazy when i'd hit a rimshot when i didn't want to.
I hope this band makes enough money someday to buy their drummer a proper drum kit.

The whole record is about his mother's suicide...brilliantly tragic...
Wow! 9

WINNAR!
not one of my favorites on this album, but i like this. bought the album after hearing it here, and there are times when it really fits my mood. it does something very beautiful with sadness. some tracks are very haunting.

Odd but still compelling.

Corrected Wiki Link.
Let's hear some Floyd! Maybe Comfortably Numb?
I want to enjoy this song... but it just sort of feels bland to me... perfectly bland
Nice!
Mad percussion work on this one.
Reminds me of this gem:

nothing else like this, very interesting.    all those who complain probably just want to hear Comfortably numb again.

Awesome. I really love the percussion.

People who post in blue font probably don't know that ipad users cannot read the comment.  It's because the background for the RP ipad app is always black. (the font defaults to white)

Hauntingly beautiful
To those who commented about the cover - check the comments about the cover about 8 comments previous to yours.    My initial reaction was more about what does the picture of a woman have to do with the album title or group.    I found the answer in that comment.
This group is my fav newest find — my boyfriend went to HS with the violinist and turned me to their music about 3 years ago. It's been a treat to seem them become more popular.

Another outstanding track on this album is "Villain" — so haunting, I love them!

This is haunting and beautiful.  Thanks for playing this.
overplayed and for my taste, simply a bad tune
I find this song extremely well done, interesting, and just plain a great sound.

Very nice tune - interesting arrangement.  There's more about the cover and the band here.

Some of those make me really glad I didn't experience the 60's and 70's.  Yeah, there was some great stuff that came out of that era, but wow...  some of that crap is scary!

I think you're right. Song is not bad, sort of weird cool. But man that cover...

Is it just me or is there an autistic carpenter hammering in the background?
Sounds like Bono in the background {#Think}

I need a rating that is in between decent and pretty good—-like weirdly good. or something like that...
Hey that´s is very interesting!
. Fascinating.Somehow could be a soundtrack of an italian movie, but at the same time a celtic song. It's the first time that I listen this song and I think that it's very particular. I like it.
