Saw them live a couple of nights ago as part of the revive live initiative. What a band, fabulous live and so many great songs that are full of energy and life - most of their songs sound better live too I think.

Wow. This one is a gut punch this morning. I'm feeling every one of my 51 years. And I swear I was 33 just a minute ago. Definitely got old at breakneck speed, but I'm fighting it every inch of the way. 

(edited to add: got my 2nd shot last Tuesday, feeling pretty good about that!)

Well, it's largely a I-IV-V progression, which has been used for centuries, and this sort of melody is very common in traditional British folk music.  There are tens of thousands of songs with the same chord progression, "Everyday" is just one of them.
