This isn't the same version that's on the original album. I'm curious to know where it is from, though. I bought the album when it was new and still have it. I've listened to it hundreds of times and can tell that this isn't that version. 

By the way, if ya want another treat, check out the Jesse Winchester album, "Learn To Love It." It has a version of "Third Rate Romance" and "The End Is Not In Sight" sung by Russell Smith (of the Amazing Rhythm Aces)

According to Wikipedia...
"Third Rate Romance" is a song written by Russell Smith, first recorded in Montreal in 1974 by Jesse Winchester and his band the Rhythm Aces, assisted by Smith. It became a hit the following year by the newly re-formed Amazing Rhythm Aces on its 1975 album Stacked Deck. It was the band's debut single, reaching No.11 on the U.S. country singles chart and No.14 on the Billboard Hot 100,[1] as well as No.1 on the Canadian RPM Country Tracks and Top Singles charts.

Liked this, and it surprised me.  I saw them open for Loggins and Messina and Fleetwood Mac in 1975 and thought they were the worst act I had ever seen.   Maybe it was a bad night for them.

From one of the greatest albums ever, Too Stuffed To Jump.  Another song, Strangers on the Shore,  equally great.  Saw the ACES back in the '70's at the Wilma in Missoula, MT.  Had beers with their lead guitarist after the show at the Top Hat.  Heard Russell Smith again in the '00's with his daughter. Still great voice.

Too Stuffed to Jump!  Still have the vinyl and great memories!  If you like this, The End Is Not In Sight (Cowboy Tune) is another gem from the album.
