Well, you can tell ev'ryone I'm a down disgrace
Drag my name all over the place
I don't care anymore
You can tell ev'rybody 'bout the state I'm in
You won't catch me crying 'cos I just can't win
I don't care anymore
I don't care anymore

I don't care what you say
I don't play the same games you play

'Cos I've been talking to the people that you call your friends
And it seems to me there's a means to and end
They don't care anymore
And as for me I can sit here and bide my time
I got nothing to lose if I speak my mind
I don't care anymore I don't care no more

I don't care what you say
We never played by the same rules anyway

I won't be there anymore
Get out of my way
Let me by
I got better things to do with my time
I don't care anymore
I don't care anymore
I don't care anymore
I don't care anymore

Well, I don't care now what you say
'Cos ev'ry day I'm feeling fine with myself
And I don't care now what you say
Hey I'll do alright by myself
'Cos I know.

'Cos I remember all the times I tried so hard
And you laughed in my face 'cos you held all the cards
I don't care anymore.
And I really ain't bothered what you think of me
'Cos all I want of you is just a let me be
I don't care anymore
D'you hear?
I don't care no more

I don't care what you say
I never did believe you much anyway

I won't be there no more
So get out of my way
Let me by
I got better things to do with my time
I don't care anymore
D'you hear? I don't care anymore
I don't care no more
You listening? I don't care no more
No more!

You know I don't care no more!
No more, no more
No more, no more
No more, no more
No more, no more
No more, no no more

Nice reminder from the 80s. Breaking up with my 9th grade girlfriend...speeding out of the parking lot with this BLARING from my t-topped Cutlass Supreme. Glad I didn't marry that chick. I really didn't care for her more for her, I didn't believe a word that she said, and I wanted her to get out of my way. Really good memories. I do care that RP can resurrect this good stuff.

Thanks for the link. Love the show, I'll be interested in hearing the interview.
Wow, An actual Pop hit.
youtube recently coughed this up for me - a mix of genesis playing 'i know what i like' over the years. I'd never seen Phil doing this song - he had a particular routine for it.

It sounds like he just doesn't care anymore.
Sounds like the guy in the barstool next to me!
I like the Phil Collins Video Artist MUCH better

His voice was always sounding like my grandpa singing. Like, the guy was born old. :)

not any moe, only this moe
The man has been waste his amazing talent too many times for mediocre elevator music. BUT as his stuff with genesis (i know, i know - but its not that bad, just different) his first solo records are brilliant gems

He has done to Genesis what Trump is currently doing to America: Brutal marketing energy applied against sensitivity and delicacy. Too bad.
I hope he gets that situation with his armed & crazy ex sorted.
Poor Phil gets such a hard time, but, he has been an influential figure in British pop since the late 60s. So much of what is considered 'good' music these days bears all the marks of his and and his peers influence.

Also I like this, and I have always liked his voice.
I like the way Phil Collins plays drums (i he still does, as I hope). For the rest, I think it's a wrong job for him
NO MOE!

<--- Hmm, looks a bit like Phil's mug shot.
Angry Phil can be hit or miss. This is miss. 7th Heineken can make you care not no more.

Would rather hear a sober Phil.

Under A Volcano tune was 1st rate;  Easy Lover duet too. Those were passionate. This one's angry. No likey Phil's drunken anger..
This song can be kinda corny, but the mood is definitely working for me right now.

I saw Phil live once and was only expecting an "ok" show (free box seats! Who could say 'no'?). But I was blown away.

All else aside, he's a great showman. 2 thumbs up!

Even when Peter Gabriel doesn't sound like Peter Gabriel, he still sounds exactly like Peter Gabriel would want to sound for that moment.  Collins is a reasonable facsimile on some of the older Genesis, but he'll never be Peter Gabriel.

matched perfect for my private Situation Years ago
What’s this song called ?
Looks for his white T and pastel suit jacket to roll up sleeves

Both early Phil solo work and Genesis are great for air drumming!  {#Drummer}

Ever notice that many of Phil's solo releases have closeups of his face/dome?  Hmmmmm.
2 ears and a heart
Passionate work by Phil..most excellent..This song has more meaning to someone who has been completely thrashed in a relationship.
This lost any freshness it had after the 10th listen. Now, even after not having heard it for years, its aggressive thumping cheesy synthesizer ad infinitum FM droning reduced it long ago to a level only a few notches above noise pollution. Sorry, Phil. And Bill.  One of those one wouldn't miss if it was banished forever.
from his 2nd solo album.  The 1st one was "Face Value" with "In The Air Tonight"
lol

Yes, that cover version and video were quite horrendous.  My distaste for Billy and Phil has not dissipated very much.  Whether or not Kanye West's music has any merit at all doesn't matter so much because I am not inundated with it, every waking hour as I felt I was by the soulless, tepid droning of Phil Collins throughout the 1980s.  By the time Mr. Collins recorded and released this tune it was apparent to me that he did not "care anymore".

You wrote this back in July '13. Fortunately you weren't inundated with Kanye and Kim Kardashian trying to stay relevant. That video with Kanye riding on a motorcycle with a topless Kim...that was a freaking mess. It's like two or three songs smashed together without rhyme or reason. Not genius, Kanye. Crap. Haters gonna hate when you drop trash on the street.

But yes, Phil Collins in the 80s was as pervasive as herpes and mostly just as wretched. Thankfully FM radio isn't the only game in town anymore--haven't listened to it in years.
At least this was before he got really awful.
And yes, this is the 2nd solo effort. The first one was not too bad, actually.
BILL! sorry to correct you - this was Phil's SECOND album, NOT his first. My image of you is shattered... I don't care anymore..

NO MORE , NO MORE, NO MORE, NO MORE, NO MORE,...
I gave this a much closer listen than I have for a long time... and I was thinking this was a lot better than I remembered it, until the "end" which I still think is too long and repetitive.  It definitely doesn't do much for me and was even worse played over and over on commercial radio.  But lucky me--I sought other music and found the left end of the FM dial.

Used to hate Phil back then, but much like my distaste for Billy Joel, the hate has dissipated somewhat 30 years down the road.  Hearing the "Kanye crap" that passes for pop music in 2013 will do that to you.

That said, when Phil took a swing at Motown with "You Can't Hurry Love" on this same album, complete with a retro looking vid., it was "damaging".

Actually his 2nd album.

Face Value was his 1st (In The Air Tonight)
His hits were ridiculously overplayed during the '80s, but the stuff from the first couple of albums has held up better than might have been expected. Same with the Genesis records of the early '80s. I think 1985's "No Jacket Required" was when his music really became bad, not just overplayed but bad.
This is ok. But i dont like him after leaving Genesis. To much commercial Sound for my taste.
Caught him when he was drumming for Robert Plant on the Principal of Moments tour.  Really an outstanding drummer. One of the best I ever witnessed,
I like the drumming but this song gets stuck in my head...it's on pause
KILL PHIL (figuratively speaking).

I wouldn't wait by the telephone, kiddo.
Say what you will, but the guy "got" pop music.

Hard to imagine that this was only played for the first time on RP 6 months ago?

This was a staple when I was in high school.

Mountain!  That was a staple in junior high school at the beginning of the 1970s.

One of Phil Collin's better solo songs.  Love gone bad, gone really bad.

lol. exactly. liked it then, can't imagine why now.
When this song came out, I was just out of high school and getting heavily involved in weight training.  This song was my staple, it helped to motivate me more than any other song of that time.  That, and Mississippi Queen by Mountain.
I dedicate this song to my ex husband

Love this drumming, and no instrumental melody: like a breath of fresh air. Not your basic three-chord rock tune.
Please, please, NO. RP is where I come to avoid Phil Collins and his cronies.
If he really didn't care no mo, he wouldn't be singing about it. So maybe he really does care?

this was before he lost his voice?

That's what I'm sayin'!
good memories of driving backwards and shouting out to the highschool ex..."dont care..no mo, no mo!......no mo, no mo!" Good times
Sounds a little pissed off too.

Still always think of Phil as a drummer.  Too bad he can't do it anymore.

Isn't this off of "Face Value?" I always liked this on the Miami Vice soundtrack.
Phil doesn't care no more
Phil Collins - really? Well at least not one of his hits.
NOOOO!   This is not why I listen to RP.   {#Headache}  A solid 1!
First?! Okay Phil, his early stuff his best.
