I find it looks the same, but everything has changed
I find remembering gets harder every day
Sometimes I still believe who I pretend to be
Sometimes, well everything's exactly how it seems

I see the color of your eyes turn to gray
I feel the wind is growing colder every day
Sometimes I open up the walls and disappear
Sometimes the crashing of the waves is all I hear

Ocean, help me find a way
Ocean, wash us all away

I know that everything we did will come around
I take the thought of you and burn it to the ground
Sometimes I'm waiting for this ice age to arrive
Sometimes the hate in me is keeping me alive

Ocean, help me find a way
Ocean, wash us all away
Ocean, help me find a way
Ocean, carry us away

I can totally get how this might drive someone bonkers. I could imagine myself doing the same, but in fact I really like it. Quirky and fun.

For me it is how i'm listening to this tune.
Headphones make it a bit more of whichever extreme -
you feel the tune already has taken you to.
maybe the ice age here is our future in space… an ocean of bleak, darkness and everything, frozen.
Wow. This started out as interesting and became quite mesmerizing. Great cut.
This song reminds me of the future… bleak.

Totally agree!  I was listening to this while on my exercise bike just now and I mistook some of the "cool" noise/sounds that are part of this song.  I actually though it was coming from some neighbors who are rebuilding parts of their house and them possibly needing to lubricate some of their power tools.

The ice is melting too slowly, and there is a lot of it...
Not for me.  I'm not hearing any talent of any sort, here.  Thanks, but I'll pass.  Plinky, plonky, plinky, PSD.
How to destroy angels? Play this on an endless loop.
This is related to NIN?   Solid 8.  I love it.
That repetitive, plodding, plucking ukulele sounds like a Fischer Price kids toy. Combined with the whiny vocals and random screechy sound effects makes it a solid 1 for me. Awful stuff.
so cool
Yes Sir I likes it

listen to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4fQhHBuvc0

the soundtrack to HBO's Watchmen is phenomenal
I'd rate as merely boring if it didn't have that horrible out of tune plinking at the end of each line. That moves it into the annoying range, somewhere between 2 and 3.
I still prefer the version from deadmau5!
Been waiting to hear this again, so beautifully sparse, so devoid of excess engineering, and yet so effective as pretty simplicity. Music. Thanks RP.
Compelling. Which may be an understatement.
I would like to see this live - must be a pretty nice/immersive experience
Several years ago, during a cold winter, I sent my daughter in Canada a mix CD with 'icy' songs. This of course was on it. As well as 'This is the Ice Age', 'Fields of Ice', 'Cold Imagination','Isle of Ice', and other wintry stuff.
Pretty much a meditation.
In my noisying machine this sounds deep. Thank you for playing your favourites Bill and Rebecca
I fell for its curse and don't regret it
intriguing initially... but tedious in the end.

If you're not quite paying attention, you start to wonder if you're hearing tornado sirens.  Would really throw me off if it came on in the middle of a thunderstorm.
Can I play in this noise machine too?

And then if they played this song, the audience would really be confused!  ; )
This song might conjure up some good knock knock jokes.

should be hurting on acid this one
Tooooooooo long....
I drone know about this one. Kinda eerie-tating...:o)

Make it stop!  {#Beat}

Ditto.  I feel like it should be irritating the crap out of me, but instead it always seems to draw me and cause me to listen a bit closer...
Losing the will to live ...

It's growing on me...

dang!
That's a sound held too long.
Ouch

while it's an interesting, unique and unusual song, it sure makes me believe in radio edits...

I really love this tune. Kooky and quirky sounds.
But it's rally hard to work with this on in the background.
They should call themselves How to Destroy Concentration.

I am weirdly reminded -by said plinking- of an old XTC album...Hmm...perhaps its me.

I also hate this. Is he/she playing a shoe box with a rubber band stretched across it?
Enough, already...
I'm liking it - though surprised by its content.  Is Trent mellowing?
I like the sound of it.  Of course I haven't even read the lyrics and knowing that Trent Reznor is involved i could be in for a surprise there.  Still like the mood that the sounds evoke.

Not my thing, but it does seem to fit the eclectic RP mix.

where is that confounded bridge?

There is something oddly familiar and yet totally new at work here...wow...like so many new things presented via the RP channel...
I like how the breathy, interesting voice reminds me a bit of someone I feel I should know and the music sort of strikes me like a Balinese gamelan but not quite...for sure, it's an exotic mind-trip!
—Oh, and Bill just clued me in as to why...the voice is that of Mariqueen Mandig (now Reznor), the astounding hottie formerly of West Indian Girl!  Go, girl!

Her voice reminds me of Becky Stark, singing as the character Margaret in the Decemberists "The Hazards of Love"

I think I need to check out West Indian Girl!

I think it's interesting , an escape from the usual
Dark, gorgeous lyrics.  Her voice is also very beautiful.
This gives me a headache. stop the ringing in my ears. argh.

Is that annoying background whine supposed to be part of the "art?"

I live within the 10mile range of emergency sirens for a nuclear power plant. Every time I hear this song I keep wondering if it's the first Wednesday of the month at 11am. (that's when they run the "test. this is only a test")
FWIW I like the "background whine" but can see how it might annoy some. And I'm especially happy when I realize it's not a nuclear melt down.

You realize, don't you, there is a delete option for your comments. Idiot.
Fun, even the screeching metal. It's all part of the experience.

if she's strong enuf to take ur punch she's strong enuf to punch you back. and if she's listening - honey, aim a little higher than his shoulder. ..maybe he'll find the good sense not to do it again.  i like this song. it feels good on a rainy day

I like it!  Thanks
Loved the song, but hope the band's talent doesn't end here

Sometimes your brain can use a song that allows the mind to wander instead of kicking up all kinds of ideas and thinking. It's called meditation. This song helped me meditate.

Seems quite long.
Nails on a blackboard. Why is it there?
That was different, but I kinda like it.  Dunno whether or not it'll pass the test of time...
The Tibetan bell is a brilliant touch, unnerving but cool
Cute, playful, hopefully not annoying
