It definitely has Water From A Vine Leaf written all over it, I thought I was listening to a remix of that song when it started.
The purest example I've ever heard for a really nice song that would be insufferable if one could understand the lyrics...
Love listening to this in the car with the Bose speakers at full volume.
Lovvvvvvvve Delerium!!!!
That moment when the drum starts playing, very nice.

I was just thinking a space rock/techno/trippy mix would be a great channel.
What surprises me the most is that beautiful and melodic Delerium is created by a man who's main project is Front Line Assembly  - quite a grim and dark industrial music.

Delerium? Merriam-Webster says:

delirium
tellurium
Delorme
Adlerian
electrum

Listening to this between my stereo speakers it is a fantastic production and aurally exciting - note - not orally!

I need to be floating in a bubble bath , surrounded with patchouli scented  candles to listen to this.

No but it does have that Delerium vibe to it. Agreed, the worst Delerium exceeds the best modern stuff by a long shot.

Thanks.... This board has improved so much in the last 6 years it is like night and day.  One by one the real trolls are seeing themselves to the door and we have some really entertaining comments about music (yours are great).

Beauty is in in the eye of the beholder.  Every kid in kindergarten knows this, but apparently if you go to Oxfart you struggle with this basic concept.

Echo that.  Great tune.  Thanks RP.

PS

Like Muslim-influenced sounds (not really sure this one is), but this one is simple and....simply-not-good!

I could not disagree more with Scott Bruce's comment below.  I challenge Mr. Bruce to write a post that proves this is a good song in the same meaningful way you can prove an airplane is fit for flying.  Utter poppycock. It is no more propper to say something positive than it is to say something negative.  More harm has been done historically to the world by people falling in line and saying positive things than contrarians saying critical things.  Critics are the conscience of humanity.

I accept that challenge, rdo. Let me see if I can articulate this by way of an example:

Wrong way to express thoughts: rdo is an illiterate moronic jerk-off who just likes to rant. You can't even spell - A "Propper" is the person who pulls the propeller through on an airplane with no starter. You must not be able to read, either, because you completely missed the point of the post.  What an idiot....

Better way to express your thoughts: rdo, perhaps you might want to re-read my post. My point was NOT disagreeing with the previous post about their disliking the song -- rather the point was to inspire the individual to articulate in a meaningful way what it is about the song that makes it distasteful, and thereby sharing their thoughts in a manner that adds color and variety to the discussion regarding the particular song.

I just entertained my wife with your observation below: Well done!

This song got a 7 rating by 447 folks with a statistically significant number of 7 and 8's, probably a bit above average for RP, so, Ekin, you can't just declare the song and the vocals "Bad" - you are obviously in the minority. What makes them bad? Is she off key? Can you not understand  the english lyrics?

Please Ekin, if you just don't care for the style of music -- hit the PSD button, and keep your thoughts to yourself. No one really cares. If you have something positive to contribute, articulate your thoughts let us hear it.

This song sounds like Delerium is back. (Everything they released after 2000 was, to me, rather bad candy pop.) This is back to being dark and beautifully textured. The low whistling sound at (nearly) every fourth beat makes this song really distinctive.

(shrug) That'll apply to 99% of pop songs. SFW? Enjoy the groove and don't be so snooty. You want philosophy and deep wossnames, go read Heidegger or Sartre or Wittgenstein.

This song is soooo cool...

Reminds me of this, no idea why, it just popped into my head, thought I'd share it for any others who fondly remember British Kids TV from the 70s and 80s.

As Our Former Member would have stated:  We all dancing in our Hotel Room here in Las Vegas (or was it Reno?),  anyway, we dancing.

Something about the syncopated tabla, quarter tones, etc. that makes me think of Loreena
The beginning of this song sets it up to be something grander than it actually is.

Yep, I'm getting that as well. This band has really grabbed me from the very first hearing of their work on RP, and this song is a lovely mixture of trance electronica and Middle Eastern exoticism courtesy of the guest singer. 9 from the entranced Nottingham jury.

I hear echoes of William Orbit - Water from a Vine Leaf.
New Delierum...bring it on!
New Delerium, yes! However, as others have mentioned, I can't notice any evolution.  Like them though!
Oooh, new Delerium!  Hoorah!  Best Work music evuh.
This kind of sounds like something that would have come out in the early to mid '90s to me.  Is the early to mid '90s so dated now that it is cool again?! {#Confused}
Loving this!
