I'm seeing in you something
The life you're wanting takes long
You seem so heavy, I'm fine just talking if you want
Don't wanna be the messenger

I'm seeing in you something
Your eyes are open and you're on
I'm here and I'm ready, my time's for taking if you want
Who wants to be the messenger?

Who wants to be the messenger?

Nobody cares what you have to say!

I agree!!! If they don't like it, they can hit the SKIP BUTTON & shut up!

I saw him do a solo show a few years back. So cool. He's terrific, but let's be honest - he's not a great singer.
He can definitely put across a song as a singer, but he's limited.
He can craft a hell of a show, though!

"No actual music was generated..." Is that the most cogent criticism you can muster? Better luck next time!

Where has he expanded on his preferred half-octave?

Boring.  No message.

For those who don't understand your joke, here's the translation:

I'm fed up with stupid puns

The true talent in The Smiths.  What's more he's an extremely erudite, genuine, warm, lovely chap and all-round cool dude; shame the same can't be said of his former writing partner.

I would have to agree, the man is simply a guitar god, and is fantastic live.  Love me some Johnny Marr!

I always thought Johnny was the real star from The Smiths and I’m surprised that he has never had a bigger presence as a solo artist.

It was a while ago now, but I can say the man still has it. . . it was a bloody excellent gig.  Afterwards, leaving with Mrs Squid, we couldn't hear each other properly for a couple of days because Johnny destroyed my ears. . . everything was turned to 11.

What's that bass line I keep hearing?  Blondie or The Knack?
You know the one?

Scroll down - in parts, it sounds similar to "Atomic" by Blondie.  Minor key, not exactly the same.

Marvelous!

I love the vibe of this one.

love this marvelous song...

7>8. Too bad the whole album isn't most excellent.

It's somewhat similar to "Atomic" by Blondie; the bass notes are playing on the "up" beats in parts of both songs, and both tunes in minor keys.  It's not exactly the same though.
Nice transition from BRMC to Johnny Marr. Loving this new Johnny song.

Fabulous, luxurious, British, post-modern, guitar-driven pop music from the master of the multi-layered guitar.

Will be seeing him live this summer at Lollapalooza.
Marrvelous!

Really growing on me.
Hey Bill, did you consider adding some more tunes from this album? It's great! I'd recommend "I want a heartbeat", or "Sun & moon", but the whole album is good.

BTW, thanks for playing this single. It convinced me to buy this album, and I couldn't be happier.
When this comes on, the sun comes through the swirling snow and the world seems again a rocking, grooving place -- this jams! Rock on!
I'm going to have to give this album a listen. It hasn't showed up in rotation on the college radio stations I listen to so I have yet to hear any. Marr is one of those artists that I couldn't imagine not liking anything they put out.{#Music}

Great album - I am surprised!

Only the new "NICK CAVE" surpasses Marr's quality!

This song has a very cool groove to it...  love it...  we be dancing...

Good to see/hear him out front after all these years.
Been craving to hear this the past few days...and CRANKING IT NOW!{#Sunny}
Wow! I love it.
Cool song, but already way overplayed.
New Johnny Marr!!
Is he skateboarding on the cover?
Gave it a seven. But I think it's an 8 with a bullet.
Rocking my world right now! OUTSTANDING GROOVE GOING HERE! Wailing guitar, played as if with restraint — blindingly cool! and love the nice bass-jamming drive they go for in the middle! Thanks, RP!
Never heard this....love it
Mr. Marr's tune is growing on me. I find myself humming this tune long after hearing it. And cool video BTW...
