At my house I've got no shackles
You can come and look if you want to
In the halls you'll see the mantles
Where the light shines dim all around you
And the streets are paved with gold and if
Someone asks you, you can call my name

You are just a thought that someone
Somewhere somehow feels you should be here
And it's so for real to touch
To smell, to feel, to know where you are here
And the streets are paved with gold and if
Someone asks you, you can call my name
You can call my name
I hear you calling my name, yeah, all right now, hey

By the time that I'm through singing
The bells from the schools of walls will be ringing
More confusions, blood transfusions
The news today will be the movies for tomorrow
And the water's turned to blood, and if
You don't think so
Go turn on your tub
And if it's mixed with mud
You see it turn to gray
And you can call my name
I hear you call my name

Everybody in my hotel room loves this song, and Radio Paradise...
This is the sort of vibe Paul Weller tried to recreate after he left The Jam.

Unfortunately he and his different incarnations since don't have the talent of Aurthur Lee and the Love musicians.

Paul Weller was on the Jools Holland show recently - embarrassing is the only word I can use to describe what I saw and heard.

On the other hand... Authur Lee is a giant among the list of artists who never got the recognition they deserved,

Hey, thanks, I loved it but how do I get the download?
How in the hell can this song have under 7 score. It's Love people!
Man , that s some nice guitar!
I guess this is a Love Song? just followed by the Cure, guess what song!
Very subtle.

wow
Great band. I discovered "Forever Changes" only a few years ago. How in the hell did I not know about them years ago. Turned my wife on to them and she now plays them constantly in her car.
A great band from a very great era. Love would have been much more popular had they not refused to tour. Fortunately I was able to see Arthur Lee and Love in 2004 playing a double bill with the Zombies. Arthur seemed to have fun ragging on them. It was wonderful to be able to see one of my favorites from the 60s.

A brilliant, brilliant group. Still unrecognized.

True.  They were one of the best bands of their time.  It seemed it was difficult for Elektra Records to market them, particularly since they were a multi-racial band and especially once the label seemingly concentrated all their marketing and promotion energies on The Doors.
WOW!
A brilliant, brilliant group. Still unrecognized.
another 1st for me here on RP. Holy shit!  Rock and roll to the max. One for the magical music phone playlist.
If ever a song needed a comment from Lazarus...
I've always quite enjoyed Forever Changes but hearing this live version really makes me appreciate what a cool little song this is and what an awesome band they must have been to see live! Its rocking, grooving and there's a big, anachronistic, post-punk element (makes me think of the Feelies). Great stuff RP!
Love Revisted will be playing at www.tikioasis.com/2014
Why is Chris Cornell's You Know My Name jumping to mind when I hear this?
Did not know about the live album.  Cool
Well it certainly caught my attention...enough to stop what I was doing and give a good listen!...those were very trippy times in San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles...use to be kind of a competition between the Doors and Love...or so some have said...they use to play a lot at the Valley Circle theater in Woodland Hills, off Ventura Blvd...
Beauty...this live version has less of the originally recorded psychedelic sound...absolutely timeless.
Ahhhh, not working. Voice is a bit like artist Chinawoman. This song needs a little more love. :-(
