how long have you been free
in this world of hate and greed
is it black or is it white
let's find another compromise

and our future´s standing still
we're dancing in the spotlight
where is the leader who leads me
i'm still waiting ...

leaving home ...
and god is on your side
dividing sparrows from the nightingales
watching all the time
dividing water from the burning fire ... inside

and god is on your side
dividing cruelty from tenderness
watching all the time
dividing fiction from reality

move in circles walk on lines no human being in sight
calm the winds and calm the seas
let´s try another kind of peace
who fights this holy civil war
a million men in uniform
wo ist der führer der mich führt?
ich warte immer noch ...!

and god is on your side
dividing presence from our history
watching all the time
dividing deaf men from the listening ones

leave a light on in the night for me, that i can find you
remember when we both where young and reckless and so curious ...

now you're hiding from your child ... a new day's dawning
remember that you felt alive, sometimes ...

and god is on your side
dividing soldiers from the fisherman
watching all the time
dividing warships from the ferryboats

these vampires turned out an interesting piece of music, AAHHH!!! But I was lucky enough not to be caught in their trap!
BE GONE DEVIL-SPAWN!!! never again will I let my eyes close and spirit drift to these lyric predators
...and there is an excellent cover by Mark 'Oh! {#Smile}
{#Clap} {#Clap} {#Clap}  Another great German Band!!
But I have a big problem with the word "Führer"!
Especially being used by a German band.

Me too...
There is good plastic (eg, Kraftwerk, New Order) and there is bad plastic. This is bad plastic. REALLY bad plastic.
Yuck!
Proggy goodness. Hearing Peter Murphy, too.

I've never heard this before.  Totally dig it.  Great find for an 80's vibe.

If this truly came out in '91, it was about 10 years behind the times. Definitely early 80s.

Early DM could be pretty lame...

High Sparrow indeed.
Thought it was Peter Murphy
Shite.
Ever heard Mark Oh's cover? Incredible...
Strange sensation, I don't have a happy view.
          And I'm getting rewarded.
Kind of wanted to like it but kept falling flat for me.....too bad, b/c it was potentially right up my ally?!
Great to see Wolfsheim on RP!  Pretty interesting progression from their well known tracks like this one to Once in a Lifetime to Kein Zuruck over quite a few years.  For those looking for a bit more of a polished updated sound Casting Shadows is a solid album.
Cuts you up. And not in a good way.
6th.

Never heard this before. Never heard of 'Wolfsheim' (whatever that means). Dunno where they were from & not interested enough go looking it up (sorry)
Sounds very stuck in the '80s, but i can see it even missed that particular boat by a couple of years.
Sounds like its a bit somewhere between The Petshop Boys meet Depeche Mode meet the Sisters of Mercy to me.
don't think its that awful myself, but i won't be rushing out to buy it !

10/9/15: it's a Tangeriney Dreamy kind of night. Hey. It's John Lennon's birthday; how about some good music RP; you're usually timely about these sorts of important musical events. Wolfsheim is not so interesting.

I like to be open minded but I have to agree with you. Awful.
