Didn't anybody see his hand move faster than the lightning in his eyes?
Oh, what a cold surprise the flying horses cried
And didn't anybody want to ask the calliope to call the tune?
The flying horses crooned but did not know

The medicine man sits on the stage
Eats fire and water, earth and air, while we all stare
The silver blade burns bright and tells us to beware
Of mirrored passages that throw a thousand images of younger days
The wheel spins slower as it calls us back to play

Round and round now we go
Shout your name to the wind as it spins by your side
Colored lights echo as the sound slips on by
Could that have been me?

Round and round now we go
Shout your name to the wind as it spins by your side
Colored lights echo as the sound slips on by
Could that have been me?

I got a chance to see these guys in Munich in 1990 or 91. Just happened to be traveling through and saw they had a show, and grabbed some tickets. It was fun!

I saw them a decade before beginning of the eighties in Colmar I think, although I'm not quite sure, may be it was Strasbourg.

I would have loved to see their concert in front of the Reichstag in 1980!

Thank you Bill, I didn't listen to this band in a looong time!

(and here we are May, 25 already, 13:24, it's quite funny how RP makes me travel in time)

Here's the concert in Berlin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zD7TFHHHBc

I've always suspected that twoplain2sea is what became of the Horse_Ebooks guy when he quit running that twitter account. Also, maybe he means the circus? idk

I love progressive rock in general, but if you're not careful it can get a little too full of itself—like it did here.
I heard them when I was a teenager and loved their early orchestral rocksound from the seventies. It was so different from these boring pop sounds in the eighties. Never heard this song on radio, so thanks a lot for playing it.
I was thinking of joining.
I heard about these guys growing up but never heard any of their music, didn't miss much.
