Every time I hear the sound of
People dancing close together
Where the moonlight finds the crowd
And when you know there's
No place better

I love the way you move

There's a boy who throws his head back
To the rhythm when he's dancing
And I can see that every joy
And every sorrow flows
Right through him

If I could only change my ways
To move the way you move

If I could only change my ways
To move the way you move

When I think back to the nights
I lose myself among the shadows
When I think back to those nights
I almost lost myself to you

So show me now and tell me how
Cos I love the way you move

I love the way you move
I love the way you move
I love the way you move

Great tune BTW!

She must some other tunes worth listening to. This one's great but it's apparently the only one in the rotation.

She came to my attention on RP with "Twist in My Sobriety."
Tanita, if you didn't have such a deep and delicious catalog, I'd give you a much higher ranking here than I did. But gratefully, some of your songs are among my longtime favorites.

Great use in a milk ad here - "I Love The Way You Moo..."

Cows can be great lovers
Always reminds me of Kirsty MacColl's 'In These Shoes'. In a good way.

Nice, but is this really appropriate for the Mellow Mix?

Gotta say it sounds pretty chilled to me

Exactly! So why is this in the "Mellow Mix"?
This is Tanita at her happiest.
It may sound strange, but I actually like when Bill occasionally speaks.  It is a welcome 'interruption' every now and then.  After all of these years as an RP listener, I have grown to truly appreciate the gift this man has brought to me !
Happy ThanksGiving
Didn't she have a US hit a way long time ago?

This track grew on me.
Well if this isn't a twist in my sobriety!
OK, how can you not dance to this?
I did understand "I love the way you loose"
Another version !
Listening to Twist in My Sobriety during a flight in 1989 completely hooked me. I love The Cathedral Song...  We have all her older albums on CD, but thought she had drifted away... so delighted to be reacquainted! This talented lady is most welcome to us, thank you Bill and Rebecca. Yippee!
Glad to know she is still active. After her remarkable debut 'Ancient Heart', I lost her track.

If that's where you heard this, I believe you have your answer.

I started wracking my brain. This sounds similar to who?  You nailed it!

Oh wow. I bought an album of hers, Twist in My Sobriety, in like 1989 or something like that. Haven't been aware of her since then, but I loved that album! Looking forward to exploring this newer one.

Thanks for posting - I remember that song and I didn't realize it was the same person.  Will explore for sure.
Haven't heard anything from her in ages, really glad to hear this now. Will check out the new CD.

I like this a lot, but/and would love to hear some more of her recent work.

Try "Don't Turn Your Back On Me" from the same album, "Closer to the People".  It is wonderful also.

Such a rad song! Her voice is... wow! As others have mentioned, this one really grows on ya! Wicked segue into Santana there, COOL

I dig this one. I hear a similar melody from Sting "La Belle Dame Sans Regrets" (Sting, Dominic Miller) This one grows on you for sure.

Check the date. Can't get more fresh!

she said "more of her recent work," not "her more recent work."
the music at the end had a little Melancholy Hill from the Gorillaz feel to it.

Still a great voice, and a nice song.

Here some of the sax from "In these Shoes?" can't remember that female singers name.

Kirsty MacColl, who was tragically killed by a motor boat while scuba diving, in 2000.

The late great Kirsty MacColl.

Only her 2nd tune on RP.

Kristy McCool?
This is actually rather good, I think.
Perfect Friday afternoon

thank you!
beautiful voice imo  : )
If moving from Munster to Basingstoke gets you this fine amalgam, count me in.
She always makes me think of drinking (twist of sobriety),  but I like this quite a bit.

Wonderful, subtle nostalgic feel. Welcome to middle age Tanita.
