You got a certain way i swear of sticking it in
Even though you only ever lose or you win
I always said I'd wait and wait and wait just to see
But I've been waiting here since 1973

It only happens elsewhere
It only happens elsewhere

It only happens elsewhere
It only happens elsewhere

Looking back in time right now to 72
I remember all the stupid things we'd do
Sitting round and speeding like its 79
there was always somewhere else I had to be in my mind
Swimming in my mind
Swimming in my mind
Swimming in my mind
Through a liquid sky
Looking below
Well, it changed my dreams
And now nothing is quite what it seems
It only happens elsewhere
It only happens elsewhere

You got a certain way I swear
Of sticking it there
Ridiculously obvious
And never less aware
I always said I'd wait and wait and wait just to see
I've been waiting here since 1973
It only happens elsewhere
It only happens elsewhere
It only happens elsewhere
I didn't do it I swear
I wasn't even there
Elsewhere
Elsewhere
I must have been elsewhere

Her new album and tour has come! I got my tix for her Birchmere performance Sept 11.   https://bethortonofficial.com/...
The theme reminds me bit of Pulp's "Disco 2000".

Thank you, flozer68. We are proud of our artists. Not enough to pay them. But enough to enjoy it anyhow.

Gotta admit I'm not typically a big Beth Orton fan, but this is a cool song!
She finally got a little help with her voice!!

Is it still new?
Hint of Goldfrapp - nice
As the years go by I kinda get bored with RP and then Bill plays something great and I'm right back where I started.
Loving her new sound!
I like
She doesn't have the strongest voice but breathy techno-pop like this makes the most of it.
Hooray! New Beth Orton! Production is very different from her iconic 90s work that I love, but that voice is still there. Liking this a lot! {#Music}

Yup, sounds very 1980.

Never been a huge fan. I saw her in Portland, ME a year ago or so, she was good live. But it seems to me what I've heard of her recorded music is so heavily processed - too much echo, reverb, etc. But I'm kinda digging this.
Breakthrough for gestalt.
Oh, nice, new Beth Orton, now I wanna hear what the rest of this album sounds like ;-)
nice  hear new Beth I like it.
