I've seen Michael Franti in concert twice in Missoula, MT, at an outdoor venue where you can get close to the bands.  He is VERY high energy in both his music and his report with the crowd.  He goes out and mixes the the fans and brings young fans up on stage with him.  His music is hard to gentrify but very up beat.  Unfortunately, his recording don't exude this feeling but definitely worth seeing.

I've just had to check I  had not accidentally switched to an inferior station. I like all sorts of music including dance and euphoric trance. Done well it is energising and uplifting. This wasn't.
