I made a mistake
I should have never tried
I took the cake
Thinning every slice
I moved away
Still playing off the fights
For every day
I share our love delight

I stare at the face
Looking through my eyes
I move at a pace
That I cannot survive
I'm hauling away
I do it all the time
Let love age
And watch it burn out and die

I woke to the sound of dogs
To the sound of distant shots and passing trucks
We woke with the mourning sound
It's the sound of distant shots and passing trucks
We woke with the mourning sound
It's the sound of distant shots and passing trucks

I own the faith
Could never have denied
This isn't a place
Where I can even try
I'm hauling away
I do it all the time
Let love age
And watch it burn out and die

We woke with the mourning sound
It's the sound of distant shots and passing trucks
We woke with the mourning sound
It's the sound of distant shots and passing trucks
We woke with the mourning sound
It's the sound of distant shots and passing trucks

Funny you mention this... less than an hour after this song played, RP played The Ocean Blue — Drifting Falling.
What can I say, it's a good RP classic.
These guys ought to be super proud of their output. What a great, thoughtful band.

Keeps getting worse for me, and I started at "1"
Driving beat!

Pretty good song, stupid band name.

Oh I dunno -- ever heard of Butthole Surfers, Garbage, The Buzzcocks, Skinny Puppy, The Zombies...?

As if "The Beatles" isn't a bit silly. And what's a "Sex Pistol"? And "Led Zeppelin"? Seriously? You named your band after a lead dirigible? And "Tear for Fears"? What does that even mean? And "R.E.M."? A physiological term? And "The Cure"? For what? "Arcade Fire"? What does that mean? "Coldplay"? "Kings of Leon"?  "My Morning Jacket"? The list seems almost endless.

I was in a band in the 90's, one night we decided we had to make a stand and pick a name for the band, we had been going for weeks without agreeing on one. We were drinking whiskey and getting stupid, we came up with a game. Each of us (4) had to write one word on a piece of paper and then toss two of the words into a hat, whatever came out, that would be the name. Our favorite was Cloud Fork....probably laughed for 1/2 hour straight...maybe it was the pot. We ended up with Millions Like Us because of the double meaning. No need to search for a record, we never got past our demo. We almost opened for the Psychedelic Furs, but got edged out by The Ocean Blue. True story.

Really annoying snare drum sound.
I agree! ...big time!!!

Sounds like Icehouse vocalist.
Really annoying snare drum sound.
Jets Overhead "Heading for Nowhere"
Pretty good song, stupid band name.
They wear out the hook. Repetitive, not creative.
Sounds like many other 80's hits but with a nice little twist that makes you want to listen to it again.
1980s Time machine. Yes, yes, yes! {#Wave}
This is different & I like different ...this is very good....nice pop arrangement.
I'm sure I've caught myself humming this tune from time to time.   But that horrible plastic snare is whacking me over the head and has me reaching for PSD.

Then I look up and pay attention to this new song.  And discover we are on 10 listens per month.  So I will definitely be paying attention.

Thought you must be exaggerating - just checked - showing 8 this month.

Like this a lot though -so no complaints here
On first listen a clear thumbs up....
Saw them at Massey Hall in Toronto Nov.27 They were very entertaining, although many of their songs eschew traditional song-writing conventions, so they take a bit of extra listening to get used to.

This song is one that has a catchy hook, but is by no means representative of the rest of the album. Definitely worth a few listens though.

Sounds like a vinyl single whose hole was not centered properly
Good to hear their sound evolving - seems to have opened up a bit, with a little more breath between the notes

Another fine album from these guys.
Don't like this.  I keep hearing "the Sound of Music"
