I'm gonna live forever
I'm gonna cross that river
I'm gonna catch tomorrow now
You're gonna wanna hold me
Just like I always told you
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
Nobody here will ever find me
But I always be around
Just like the songs I leave behind me
I'm gonna live forever now

You fathers and you mothers
Be good to one another
Please try to raise your children right
Don't let the darkness take 'em
Don't make 'em feel forsaken
Just lead them safely to the light
When this old world has blown us under
And all the stars from fall this sky
Remember someone really loves you
We'll live forever you and I

I'm gonna live forever
I'm gonna cross that river
I'm gonna catch tomorrow now

I'm gonna live forever
I'm gonna cross that river
I'm gonna catch tomorrow now

I'm gonna live forever
I'm gonna cross that river
I'm gonna catch tomorrow now

I'm gonna live forever
I'm gonna cross that river
I'm gonna catch tomorrow now

Billie Joe was a character, good song writer, good band leader, good performer.  I think he  never really bounced back after his son (and band member) died.

I never thought Willie would outlive both my parents, but he did.

I really do need Willie to live forever.
Willie is a legend and will live forever.
I'm always blown away by how much Lukas sounds like his old man.
Every time I saw Willie  - '76? Paris, Tx., '77 at Willie's 4th of July party. around 1981 at the Astrodome, he and the gang put on a good show.  His voice has gone the way of all 80 year old voices, so I'm happy, happy to hear a fine song unknown to me.
Wow. Eighty Nine? Keep kicking out the hits, Willie.
Rock In Peace, Mr. Shaver. Both of you.

Happy sad lyrics... interesting and fresh.
I had the fortune to see Willy a couple times in concert. Always a great evening. Love this song, thanks for the sweet mix this Sunday morning Bill!
New Willie addition, nice.
Oh Willie.  I really want to, but I just can't...
I am the first poster
