Our love's a complex vintage wine
All rotted leaves and lemon rind
I'd spit you out but now you're mine

We bit the fruit, it seemed a lie
I'll never know which way was right
Now side by side we face the night

And I love you
And I love you
And I love you

We walked the pier and back again
It was the most scared I've ever been
You held my hand until the end

And I love you
And I love you
And I love you

Don't tell me we've got time
The subtle thief of life
It slips away when we pay no mind

We pulled the weeds out til the dawn
Nearly too tired to carry on
Someday we'll linger in the sun

And I love you
And I love you
And I love you

Thank you for putting this beautiful Minnesota musician in your playlist! I knew it was her as soon as she started singing. I knew of her but only as a local musician because of local radio play. It’s so great to hear her on Radio Paradise! ❤️

Would be interesting to hear what "rot" YOU could produce! I'm sure you've heard... If you can't say something nice, don't say anything! Pathetic, to criticize without even knowing the artist. You don't care for a particular song, there's the PSD button! Geez!

Adorable. Charming. Different. Excellent.

You're aware that you could simply skip it...?
Just... woah.
How strange it is that some folks have such a narrow view of what is listenable.
This piece is well worth a listen and in it's own way is rather lovely.
If you really 'hate' it then just endure the slight discomfort for a couple of minutes.
There really is no reason to exude such venom.
As soon as she started singing I had a sense that she might be a little person but I had no idea of the other obstacles life had given her to simply come close to living the kind of life so many of us take for granted. Is it the greatest song? No. Is it a masterful accomplishment of human determination and rising above perceived limitations and channeling that into art and human expression? Indeed. So cool to hear on here.
Gaelynn is great put it up to 8
You can see the difference in votes before the artist bios were added, and after.   Her voice sounds different because she is built different.  Doesn't make the music any less beautiful or haunting.  Which it is, and quite intensely.
I'm not entirely sure if knowing about Gaelynn's disability before hearing her singing helped me like this more than others - it's a solid 7 for me musically and 10 of a human being to be sure.

Long Live Radio Paradise and humans overcoming obstacles in life no matter their cause!!
Gawd this is awful, unmusical rot.. Make it stop.
Well, not my cup of tea, especially since I'm not a fan of mournful sounding music, but I appreciate Bill giving all songs a chance.
Really liked this until the vocals came in, then I wasn't so sure, but it ultimately turned into a beautiful warm bath of a song
Sounds like they are on the Helium.
Nice addition to the mix!
that's why I almost exclusively listen to RP.
Where else would I be exposed to artists like her?!
Amazing lyrics, beautiful voice. Simple, ethereal, moving.

A solid 8.
Just took the cat to the vet.  Sounded like this.
Those lyrics are heavy.  This is great.

Time is the subtle thief of life indeed.
Sorry, no.
soulful... beautiful song.
This is good song. Easy 7.
Bumped to 9 based on the artist Wikipedia bio.
