Looked in the mirror
So many people standing there
I walked towards them
Into the floodlights
I heard no echo (no echo)
There was distortion everywhere (everywhere)
I found my ego (my ego)
I felt rebuttal standing there
Found my transcendence (transcendence)
It played in mono painted blue (painted blue)
You were the pirot (the pirot)
I was the dark room (the dark room)

I'm going to shine a light in your eyes (in your eyes)
You'll probably shine it back on me
But I won't fall this time
With Godspeed I'll heed the signs

I saw the solstice (the solstice)
The service station on the road (on the road)
I took the acid (the acid)
Under the white horses (the road)
My heart it quickened (it quickened)
I could not tear myself away (myself away)
Became addiction (addiction)
If you see darkness look away (look away)

I'm going to shine a light in your eyes (look away)
You will probably shine it back on me
But I won't fall this time
With Godspeed I'll heed the signs

Oh glorious world (glorious)
Oh potent waves valleys gone wild (potent waves)
Connect us to love (us to love)
And keep us peaceful for a while (for a while)

I'm going to shine a light in your eyes (for a while)
You will probably shine it back on me (for a while)
But I won't fall this time
With Godspeed I'll heed the signs

I'm a shine a light in your eyes (in your eyes, in your eyes)
You will probably shine it back on me (in your eyes)
But I won't fall this time
With Godspeed I'll heed the signs
But I won't fall this time
With Godspeed I'll heed the signs

What a terribly dull song!  No real melody, chordal harmony, boring lyrics and just a dour piece of c***p. Basically!

what a terribly dull comment!  No real message, interesting statement, boring words and just a dour piece of crap. Basically!

Yes.  Nearly all music - actually basically all forms of artistic expression throughout time - is primarily about Trump.  It's uncanny.

Nope, just the ones about a textbook narcissist.
Sometimes a song from a band you've heard comes out, and the lyrical content hits so close to home that it makes you like the band and song like it's always been a part of your life.

To the ones that this song makes me think of, thank you for the opportunities to learn where it's not at in life. I am forever grateful for those lessons.
Changed from "wow, this is lame" to "wow, this is actually kind of nice" for me.

Er, Blur are not from Manchester - you must be thinking of Oasis.
Great Album!

Why don't you share what your music sounds like? Obviously you're way more talented than the guys in Blur. Can't wait to hear it.

My 'Dirty Daughters' called me from Barcelona "Dad, they're playing yer fave"!!
A few days ago, I was thinking that it's been a while since I last heard Blur on RP...

Oh I heard Bill say this was new. Was wondering how I missed it in the past. Its a great song!
I purchased Blur's album released in 1997 after getting hooked on "Song 2" in high school.

RP has helped me rekindle my excitement for this group (and Damon as a solo artist) in a new and imaginative way - and I like them more now than ever!
Not the greatest. I.e. my favourite track. But a fab album.
This song la chords and guitar immediately reminded me of another song. Took me a moment to figure it out, but it’s West Indian Girl, song called Dream. Also a bit of by Afterglow by Travis. Either way I like it.
Characteristically Blur.
Bit of a dirge, really.
Like it.  7 out of the box and probably climbing...
I'm posting because I'm also a narcissist.
I'm a big fan of blur. It's fantastic how fresh they are back! It's also awesome that we've got a 7.5 Rating (so far). I started with an 8! Thanks for this one Alanna and William!
Blur can do no wrong
they must be singing about trump and his minions
yay! new blur!
