Definitely a song that makes me reach for my phone and look them up. 
even my husband when came in to the room asked who this guy was -and he almost never comments on the music. he convinced me to an 8 when I was going to give 7. I think he is right.

It’s a good cover, but not the best cover ever. LeAnn Rimes has the best cover ever…and I know, I’m embarrassed to know that,  but good music is always good music in any genre.

Just read a quote that a guitarist recently said (could use some help on who said it), but he said something like "the more perfect you try to make it, the more you lose the feeling".  I've overlooked the imperfection of this song and immersed myself in the heartfelt and unbridled feelings that the singer invoked in me. Over the top performance! Very close to god-like. Wish all us inspiring musicians could achieve imperfection as great as this!

Orville Peck has a great voice ... Kalahari Down got me into him, all though it's not one of his most popular. Also 'Summertime'. Definitely some of the spirit of Elvis, long live the King!

It's not that this is bad, it's that the original is SO good. Whoever compared this to a wedding singer is close, (you know, granpa gets up, to sing, everybody snickers, then they get blown away) but I think it's more like a Starsearch effort ala Susan Boyle, although Slim Whitman and Roy Orbitson came to mind too for some reason. The backup singers add a very hign schmaltz factor. This needs it's own rating category of just "weird" . In all it was very creative with a really high "what the H was that?" factor. Next up, The Lord's Prayer done in rap!

I decided almost immediately I didn’t like this as it sounded like a drunk wedding singer. However, William suggested giving them a chance, and as I respect his taste, I did. He was, of course, correct.
