My phantasy is spinning around listening to that as a sound track of the new Qu. T. Mafia picture, the camera focussing the painful faces of wife and three daughters of a sizily farmer, he never surrendered the mafia, being slaughtered with luparas in the most terrible way, blood all over the scene, and so on. 
One of my favorites in this meaning is Marco Beltrami's " La terre tremblante" of In the electric mist! A must have seen, absolutly !

Talk about a mix of cultural influences. I'm hearing Arabian, Indian, a touch of Western dissonance to resolve., and maybe some others. Very strange and interesting sound. I'll have to go listen to more of this guy's work. Opening with a positive 8 from Napoli on the Gulf.
