Turned on the radio and there it was
A song that sounded like something I wrote
The voice and melody were hauntingly

I'm psyched that Sheryl is still expressing the innate, heartbreakingly human yearning for answers. For me, it was always rewarding that even the popular songs that took her to the height of fame and gave us all such fun, catchy ear-worms through the 90s proudly show the deep beauty and glow of the remarkably resilient heart at their core. She remains a powerful inspiration to me!
Ms. Crow is a wise and talented woman.

DJs get songs before they're released to the public. At least they used to. I remember staying up till midnight in early 1967 for WBZ-AM in Boston to play Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields Forever the second it was legal for them to do so. I had to wait some time to buy the 45 myself.

Don't know why but her voice especially in the chorus and bridge sounds like Madonna to me.

Once upon a time, Spacehog's "In The Meantime" was popular and Sheryl Crow was singing heartland rock like "If It Makes You Happy". But whoever would have guessed that 30 years later Sheryl would steer her sound more toward Spacehog's style.

First time for me. I'm no Sheryl fan. Coupla annoying songs, or just bland, or overplayed. But this is a good one. Lyrics with something thoughtful, and a nice guitar break. Play it again, RP.

As someone whose most recent exposure to Sheryl Crow was Every Day is A Winding Road. I felt like the speaker in the song: she sounds hauntingly familiar, but not quite like herself.
I am glad that she is saying something about this very important topic. I just wonder if it was a bit too on the nose, and not quite the wry, conversational style that made her famous.
