Now I lay me down to sleep
Take me up to lovers' leap
Throw my body off the side
There to meet my waiting bride

Shake
Shake
Spray our names
Where we land
In your arms forevermore
Take my hand

Now I lay me down to sleep
Take me up to lovers' leap
Throw my body off the side
There to meet my waiting bride

Shake
Shake
Spray our names
Where we land
In your arms forevermore
Take my hand

(Shake)
(Oh, shake)
(Oh, shake)
(Shake)
(Shake, shake, shake, shake)
(Shake, shake, shake, shake)

Shake
Shake
Spray our names
Where we land
In your arms forevermore
Take my hand

They can name the crater we make after you
And sell little statues of us
Though there isn't an artist alive
Who could get your eyes, oh

This one is quite intriguing, this band is at the very least surprising me with every new iteration.
I owe RP my discovery of Elbow through "Seldom seen Kid", which is one of my 'one album wonders', I've listened to it many, many times.
I'm so grateful to Bill and Rebecca and now Alanna (what a family!) for this forever fresh music stream ❣️
Elbow is hit or miss for me. This is not one of their best tunes.

I like it more than their other stuff, but I'm not a big Elbow fan.
It's like a ska band is playing Muse with Guy singing overtop.

I missed Guy's accent till the final verse of this tune.
My ears perk up and what do I hear? New Elbow!!!

Nothing to add to this.

Tonight just got a whole lot better... Thanks.
woooohhhooooo - new Elbow
OH MY GOD!!!  New music that I like!   My indebtedness to RP continues to grow.

(edited, 60 seconds later) Yes, I recognized his voice as soon as they hit the ending.
Really diggin' this new direction from them, palpably different flavor.

My first exposure to Elbow was 'Magnificent' which I loathed. I have since realized I really, really missed it on this band. Why they didn't break in the US is beyond me.

By what special dispensation are we listening to this album a month before its release date? (Not complaining - love Elbow!)

What better way to celebrate the day than a new song from Elbow.
