Are you going to help me or will you let me down?
I'm looking for a true love but am I lost or found?
And will we cry in passion or will we cry in pain?
And will our lonely teardrops fill the world with rain?

[Chorus:]
Help me up, don't you let me down.
I'm gonna wake up in heaven, not the cold, cold ground.

Can't you hear the lovers crying in the night?
They spend their whole lives trying; still can't get it right.
I don't know where we're going but I guess we'll start
And just to show that I mean it, baby here's my heart.

[Chorus]

Living on my feelings, feelings all I know.
Baby once we touch it, we'll never let it go.

[Repeat First Verse]

[Chorus 2x]

Lame. Has no substance. No hook.
If you play this at 45rpm you'll hear "Wake me Up before you go go" by Wam!
EC always seems to have top notch drummers.  Steve Ferrone of Tommy Petty is no exception here.
indifferent to this one. not really rocking my boat, but decent just the same.
Does the backing sound like Robert Cray's band to anyone but me?  Like from the Midnight Stroll album?
Dreary. Totally uninspired. No passion, no fire. Anyone could have made this. Sounds like he wasn't even there apart from the vocals.
I love Eric but I'd have to agree with the datkside on this one.
This reaffirms why I don't care for his work.  This is dancing round your handbag music, to my ears.

This is Clapton doing his paint-by-numbers gig. The guitar work is perfect but the lyrics, arrangement...hell just about everything is based on some formula worked out for Budweiser ads. Which this song should be confined to.

EC, you da man!
There are some real gems on this sountrack. Buddy Guy does some work on here as well.
Did you know his initials are PSD? It's true.

Why not be the first?"

OK, if you want me to be first so why not? A good song from a movie I haven't seen. A song that I like.
