Do you feel safe, here in my arms?
There's so much more to this than just being here
And time won't erase, the way that you feel
The search for something new
Is that what you fear?

It's gonna show, the static in the flow
It's gonna show, the static in the flow
You scratched the itch, and now it's sore
I know you liked it, and you'll scratch some more
It's gonna show, the static in the flow
It's gonna show, the static in the flow
What you hidin' from?
What you hidin' from?
What you hidin' from?

In your heart you're good Maybe he doesn't treat you right
It's gonna get harder
To make it right through the night, yeah
It's gonna show, the static in the flow
The static in the flow

What you hidin' from?

Thanks for the static on flow, when I forget about it something ain't feeling right.
Hmm, I had this rated a 4. Not sure why, but it was probably due to overplay years ago. It's another song that took a long hiatus here at RP and it sounds good again. I'll bump it to a 6 for now...
Nice late evening sound. Sipping on the Chianti. A 7.5 for me.
take a big breath while you are floating.brilliant

Is this the Devlins, that had a song on the Batman forvever soundtrack album? The title was "Over the Bridge" or something like this. I liked that, but this song is far from that. Not bad though...
Yes, it is "Crossing the River", great song that...

I see this bands name a lot in the used record bins in town. I always was curious as to how they sounded. Tis ok... Ill still be flipping over them to find D+ vinyl.
... Yea, look out for that static! ... ... Let it flow! ...
Didnt expect to hear this here. There's a couple of songs I like by these guys, but unlike lots of songs I hear here, the more I listen to it the more I pass into apathy. It's like you expect to hear some depth when you listen to it more, but it's just not there.
Acceptable, bordering on decent. It's lush but kinda aimless.
The symphonic sounds mixed with the subtle slide guitar is quite nice.
This bores me. Don't quite know why yet. Not sure if I'm interested in finding out.

I don't hear it. I mean they're both from Dublin, but having seen the devlins a few time in '98, I have to say I don't hear much similarity between them and U2 or Bono. Have to hear this song a few more times before I decide on the song.
I am so sick of angst-vocal artists. But I suppose I could be stuck at another social function having to listen to disco crap.....
Anybody remember a side trip taken in the 80\'s by Paul Weller of the Jam called Style Council? A foray into slick, highly-produced pop with lots of harmonies and strings....sounding a lot like, well, the Devlins. It wasn\'t too bad, except for the silly name. This goes down pretty easy too.
What a great tune.... fantastic... more please
