Please, please include a broader sampling of BDG tunes!! I love them and they have far better pieces that can be included in this playlist ♥

Thanks or a fantastic mix though!!
I really like the first half of the song and holy crap is the second one annoying! What a break!
It's a great mediation exercise not to jump towards the phone if not immediately turn off the power strip.
I do enjoy listening to this, i feel pat of it
Love it, but I'm certain that they're singing "My pizzeria" in the background. I know what I'm having for dinner tonight.

Because it fits BillG, Rebecca, and the submitter's style. Oh, and mine
Is anyone else reminded of the South Park: Cash For Gold Song?

No way, banco finally on RP! seen this guy live a few times... Mind blowing! Some of his tracks can drag but when they hit they really hit.
I think this is refreshing, fun, and very eclectic!
Holy crap is this annoying.

To balance out all the haters — I bought this CD strictly for this song.  Mesmerizing.  A previous poster made reference to Philip Glass and Steve Reich...often seen as "repetitious" but the subtle (and even the not so subtle) changes keep it interesting for THIS listener.

Thanks Bill for all the diversity!!

Well said.  Steve Reich and Philip Glass are outstanding IMO.

Yours is a weak, racist mind.
A good song to test if the stereo is working. And only for that.
Didn't these guys get crushed in the mortgage meltdown?

This annoys the hell out of me. It makes me want to punch someone.

Currently in the Hate Cycle here. 3
Harvey and the Old Ones??!! Really? Like the invisible bunny? If this song is about Harvey the play and later the movie of Jimmy Stewart fame, then it immediately raises it in my opinion. But on its own: I'd dig this song as club or party background. Not that much else significant about it. Sadly, an wise invisible bunny is likely a better companion in life even if the rest of the world thinks you mad. I'd like to see a modern remake of it. ... Huh! Now that I think of it, is Donnie Darko a loose modernization or homage to 'Harvey'?

Oh, you lost 'em there. I'd file this one under "Eh"...not something I rejoice when it comes on, nor do I mute it.

See this is why you should never go back and read your own posts. Just when it had been long enough that I didn't hear the Quesadilla part I read this and Wham it's back in my brain. Still like the song but now I feel hungry.

I want a quesadilla now.
That\'s another big surprise of Rebecca and Bill!
What an excruciating repetition! Cant take it!
Sound track to Pootie Tang?

GREAT introduction
So THIS is what it feels like to be in a Somolian night club.
I like the dreamyness, but the disco beats seemed un-necessary... Overall pretty good...
I like it atikitakatika ... :)

I like the vocals - for those who don't know, I think it is not Hindi, just beat counting syllables used to keep the rhythm, and signal changes to other performers. Pretty cool in their own right too. See https://www.pathcom.com/~ericp/tala.html for examples..
Oh no. . . not again. er . . . daga dega duga taka duga taka ticka sucka. . . . It's really bad with great rhythm . . . makes me wanna. . .
Sounds like they're saying "Tippy-tippy Day-day". From Seinfeld: "They're from the impressionist school. You know...like Monet, Manet, Tippy-tippy Day-day?"
uhhh wtf mate

Great. Just great. Now i have the most ridiculous image in my head, which has chosen to somehow combine the totem poles with Rafiki and some backup singers from the Lion King. My mental imaging capabilities are getting pretty stretched by this song.
Very trippy song, must buy the album. Hope it's available here. *sigh*
Cool! Not exactly a sing-a-long song, but the toes are a tappin'
A fantastic rhythm... I'm bouncin along. I hear echoes of afrocelts in there as well... good stuff.
salsa baby ...
I recognize this song almost immediately, and I never seem to tire of it. Banco rocks!!!
Chaka Khan would be great after this. ;)
Wow, I thought the totem-poles from Disneyland's Tiki Room were singing back-up.
crowded house, cold play, Banco de Gaia = great set.
Very interesting vocal component here. I like the effect.

My favorite Banco de Gaia track!
I love this sort of non-English background music; since I can't understand the words, I don't have to use that part of my brain.
Quite a banger.
It sucks!!! As we say in France: "Raoul, le crie qui désaoule" !

Yuck! Make it stop!
Very amusing on headphones. There are 3 voices in my head!!! But what's all this fuss about a nan quesadilla? Some kind of Indian/Mexican fusion restaurant?

I recognize this in the first few bars, and have never tired of hearing it.
Wait a minute. What's that I hear? " ...I go about things the wrong way...I am human and I need to be lo-oved..."

I'm another Banco fan, thanks to RP. Last Train to Lhasa is a trip indeed! C.
...What? All the other Old Ocampa's?(?)
Very nice. The only popstars ever to come out of Leamington Spa (between Birmingham and Oxford in the UK). Check out Banco de Gaia 'Live at Glastonbury'. They do great live shows with (gulp) REAL instruments.
Nice landscape music. Love the vocalized Indian drum beats...sounds like Zakir Hussain. Great CD to drive by. I happen to be a Banco fan from way back, so I'm biased!
Well, now, this is fun! \:D/ MT
