I hate giving songs a 2, but marginal sums it up for me. I'm sure there's a whole world of support for this genre out there, but I'm not even convinced that it's a good example of what it is. Methinks Bill is on a wind-up mission.
Free your mind and your ass will follow. Free your ass and all bets are off...
Eclectic yes, but please some acceptable limits are required. I thought I'd stumbled onto MTV's site. This stuff just doesn't fit. No its not a rap thing, this is just crap.
One of the lowest ranked songs I've seen. But I gave it a 1 to help it swirl down the drain.
Wow, maybe I need to broadcast this message to everyone on every board for every song...we influence the playlist, but WE DO NOT WRITE IT. Wow...that's an amazing concept... Granted, I think it's droning drivel as well, but it's easy to tolerate when over 75% of the music on this station makes me smile. The only other place that happens is NPR. Ciao, The Dude
Enough Grand Master Bill - second piece of shit in the last half hour.
Must be some of the new stuff BillG was talking about......Naaaahhhhhhhhhh! Couldn't be.
What is that SHIT doing on an eclectic rock station?
Hey RP. If the rating average is below 3 or 4, how about not playing it anymore?
God I love dancehall. 3am, a big catamran circles my yacht anchored in Montego. Dark shapes move in the cockpit, a single light on the mast. One pass and they are gone. Burned in brightly.
Not my taste.
I like it. Gave it an 8
How evocative--a late night at some busy intersection. You pull up next to a vehicle pumping this farrago at, I dunno, 110 dB or something. The reverb is so intense that the entire local neighborhood has to strategically place their fragile nick nacks on the correct shelves. Sounds like the kind of trivial refuse I can hear on any of the "Miami bass" stations in this neck of the woods. This really is without any merit.
I've heard that some people find sadism a source of pleasure, but I had hoped RP was not a place for that. Based on the rating and the fact that this song is still playing (and its an interminably long song!) it seems I may be wrong.
Gave it a 2 the first time I heard it. Several listenings later, I may have to make that a 1. :grumpy.gif:
Respect the DUB. Snap! :propeller.gif:

Yeh....I was looking for a "zero" to click on.

Usually I like reggae and creative rap but this is really lousy. If RP wants to expand the playlist, why not some Wyclef Jean?
This is the kind of crap you just can't flush fast enough....... it still manages to stink up the entire room. Blech!
i don't mind it. sorry, guys. however, it's not wonderful or anything. i'm wondering who gave it a ten, actually.
I'm going to hurl...
Get this song outta here! Peeeeeyeeeeeeew.
...and there is no chance to rate a -10
Dear RP, Isn't a 2.2 average after 45 ratings enough reason to relegate this to the tried-it-but-it-didn't-work-for-this-audience pile (i.e., the trash icon)?

Most painful experience I've had on RP so far
Yuck.
Innovative? Bloody annoying is what it is.

exactly the same intro as "All that she wants" by Ace of Base. Which also has a Bhangra mix. Time to call the copyright lawyers...
Bad. Very, very bad. Wow.
Definitely NOT my cup of tea.
I agree with you...NO MORE Eul0gy wrote:

UGH!!
No. Ok, Hindu rap... This is... interesting in every way that is not musical. Repetition is not what this piece needed, it needed... Growth, change, experimentation, as it stands this piece is composed of two alternating 45 second long rhythm constructs. Neither of which are very interesting... Its unfinished, go back to the studio.
