I've had the privilege of seeing Patchouli perform "the woods" live at the New Moon Cafe in Oshkosh, WI. Like so many others, a coffee house is the best atmosphere for Patchouli.
lyrics not too bad, but the music is what annoys me...I like lyrics relating to nature and people, but the music doesn't do much at all for me.
eh
I'm not very impressed with her voice. It sounds very unsupported...I love untrained voices as much as the next person, but some people just can't carry it off. And yeah, too repetitious.
sorry but this womans voice, and the song in general doesn't do anything positive for me. probably one of the weakest songs i've heard in the two years i've been listening here.
This song smells like a dirty hippie. Therefore I give it a 7.
the singer has a fantastic voice, I rather like this song, although to judge by the number of times they go to the woods, it must back on to their back garden. A solid 8.
One of those songs that is so wordy and so intent on getting the message across that it doesn't flow. Doesn't fit with the actual music, feels forced. Annoying at best.
Patchouli! Gezundheit!
