It is a little annoying that the songs will sound too compressed when ripped. I love the album but it sounds, well like this, when i play it on my mp3 player. You'll just have to get the cd i guess, you won't regret it
Not where I'd want to take my holiday--at least not at the moment.

Except, Joe Jackson at his least creative sounds better than this crap. When Tom Petty has the besy song in a set, it's pretty disappointing.
it is distorted...something most people try to avoid...

I agree completely, this is a pacifier of sorts for JJ fanatics. Bill's aversion to Joe Jackson is so baffling.
Sounds like someone forgot to back off the recording levels. Might be passable if it wasn't distorted, but it's posers trying to be cool and failing.
Hard driving crap. I love it.

Or, simple - pure crap
Hmmm. Second cut I've noticed from these guys. The first struck me as being kinda noisy and irritating. So does this one. . . .
It's growing on me. Starting to like it.

is it my speakers? or the stream? or is this distorted in purpose?
Sound like it was badly ripped. Or else it's bad taste.
crap, pure and simple.
why put something out that has been recorded so terribly?
This song is way less annoying than the 'cash machine' song. They definitely have their hooks down though.
From the OLD 80s, to the NEW 80s... Good stuff though. No complaints.

You love albums more because they're recorded badly? Such a strong urge to be alternative?
No, I love albums that sound good, and this one sounds great to my ears. The fact that they did it without a masive corporation throwing money at them makes me like it even more.

Just one more reason to love this album. Established bands in the most expensive studios rarely sound this good.

Dead Kennedys' Holiday in Cambodia, anyone?
I even had to turn it down a little! It is way too distorted for me!

Indeed. I hope they didn't spend a bunch of $ on studio time for this, because it could have been done in a garage on a Mac with a four-track. In 1996.

Hiring a local industrial unit as their studio Hard-Fi recorded 'Stars Of CCTV' for about £300's worth of rent and the price of a second hand computer, and the results were a DIY masterpiece.
Just one more reason to love this album. Established bands in the most expensive studios rarely sound this good.

That's so called 'new music'. Producers nowadays believe a surplus of loudness and treble does music good. They are wrong.
