Holy moley, pulling this one out of the vaults! Previous last play was in 2006. I'm all for it. Reminds me a lot of the Kaiser Chiefs, and that's a sound I haven't heard in a while.
Sounds like The Killers, who had that annoying song out last year about "Somebody told me that you had a boyfriend who looked like a girlfriend that I had last year" or some such nonsense. I can pass on this one.
Very catchy... I got this on a compilation CD, love it more the more I listen to it.
Hard-Fi are from a town called Staines just up the road from me and a lot of their lyrics and approach are all about life in suburban London. Was never sure it would translate well to the rest of the world. But if you like it, do check out the album as it's consistent, creative, and fun. M
The title gets me going more then the song itself...

....I second that thought - Cash Machine - is a pretty catching tune - also checked out their video on You Tube.......has a kind of Guy Ritchie-esk feel to it........
Maybe the fact that I have a pint of Bailey's in crushed ice in front of me or that the semester has ended well for me, but I'm giving this a 7.
all music is perfect in its own way. This song is semi interesting but seems to lose me after the first minute. Need to hear different songs by them. This was my most boring post yet
okay i have decided. I like it.
Love it! Fresh and groovin'!
It's better than that of a lot of the other retro posers, but I'll bet I would've liked it better in 1981 (when I was 12).
THIS S U C K S !!!!!!
my ears!!!!!!!!!!!
Not very good, and far too long.
They've coined the term 'diska' to describe Hard-Fi (disco + ska). Not sure it really applies to this song. I like it, though. 'Cash Machine' is another good one from the album.
Amateurish.
Unredeemed noise.
Very cool band, saw them play last night and they put on a great show! I would recommend.
Cool UK stuff. I am in favor of a few songs that annoy the living bujeezus out of everyone. Kind of entertaining. :) If you like this at all, Hard To Beat and Cash Machine from the same album are pretty good too.
Sounds worth a 6 to start. Time will tell if, IMHO, it goes north or south. For those who don't like it. Fine. Get over it.

I totally agree. Come on people, let's sink this turkey without a trace.

I like it too. sounds a bit like brandon flowers, though.
YES! This song freaking rocks! Nice work, Bill!
like the jangly guitar and strings. will have to listen a bit to see if it grows on my more.
