I don't mind when one's influences are apparent — as long as something innovative (or at least interesting) is accomplished.  This is especially true when one "steals" from someone as distinctive as Joni.  Unfortunately, the only thing even remotely intriguing to me about this track isn't the singer - it's the band. As a result, her voice is a distraction that has made me feel resentful about the theft.

Yeppir! I concur it sounds as if it came from Court & Spark. (And there ain't nothin' wrong with that!)

I don't like this song at all! {#Naughty}

matteo lavaselli = {#Ass}
I like it.
very Court & Spark-ish, but with no heft

Joni is dead?? OMG!! I missed that completely!

Huh, that's actually what I thought this song was, until I clicked into here!
I think I'll try this song in my "Singing for Beginners" class. Then again, maybe not.

My thought exactly.
Nice!
Bleh. Do not want.
Laura Viers' "Galaxies" would go nicely with this.
Beautiful tune. Thought I heard a sampling from a Cocteau Twins song at one point??
Wow, this is WAY good! Sweet voice; nice to have cranked on a sunny Sunday afternoon while hanging laundry on the balconies, digging the gorgeous mild winter here in Kanto! and the great clear views of the snow on Fuji-san and Tanzawa San-chi)...
Thanks, Bill and Rebecca!

Weird, I hear Chrissie Hynde for some reason. But I really like it!
Yeah.. I thought for a second, that it was the Eurythmics. Just for a second. Nice song. A little different, a little the same.
Like it, sadly the sound is bad. Lots of clipping going on, I guess the producer is a member of the axis troops in the Loudness War.
Nice. Not mind shattering but nice. Good driving tune.
Very Joni-esque.

Really liking this 1st hearing.

Wow! I like this fabulous sounds - got to get some more of this. BTW There's nothing wrong with sounding like Joni Mitchell and if you like this you'd love Judie Tzuke
Sounds like a poor man\'s Kate Bush to me.
She DOES sound like Joni Mitchell.
She sounds like she\'s trying to be like Aimee Mann a bit...but it\'s not bad.
Brilliant piece of work! Never heard of her until RP!
I thought this was Joni Mitchel reincarnated - go figure.
Sensational! Just when I thought RP was starting to get a bit stale...

I really like this.... really, really. Play more from her Bill!
I'll second that!
Nice vocals and I didn't know Steven Seagal played violin. I think he's listening to a hidden radio inside the fiddle. He's probably waiting on the word to turn around and impale her with the bow. I really can't condone this type of violence. It has no place on RP.
This is soooo beautiful.
See Your Face Huge on the headphones!
Dang. Hot stuff. Is the rest of the album as good as this track?

Nice transition from the Smashing Pumkins, Bill. You're the king of song lead-ins. ^_^
R U NUTZ I MEAN RUNUTZ?
I hear Sarah McLachlan too...
a "gravity" set with this, laura veers, and jonatha brook/the story could be interesting.
I really like this.... really, really. Play more from her Bill!
Since we're comparing, her voice sounds like a cross between Joni and Judy Collins to me.
like buttah...

I really like the composition on this—it oscillates on two chords for a while before advancing to the third chord with the punch of some lush production when it does. Just like how they put that together. And I do like her voice, I thought it WAS Beth Orton.

Yeah, but without the weird voice cracks. Very smooth, indeed!
I'll second the "Joni Mitchell" memory twig. Kinda has that ring to it. Still good though.

Yeah, it does sound like Joni Mitchell....

very smooth song, I'm diggin it
"Gravity" doesn't suck. Sorry, I couldn't resist. The song is quite likeable.
Beth Orton-ish I like it a lot...

I'm getting some really weird stereo phase effects in my headphones from this song. Don't normally have any problems with heavy bass with these headphones, either.
My bad. I just checked recently, and apparently I recorded it thru winamp w/ the equalizer on. That would likely explain the heavy bass you're hearing. I haven't actually heard it in rotation yet. I'll try to rip a clean version and upload it soon.

Man that is a lot of bass, had to unplug my sub at work. It was going nuts.

Admittedly, I don't fully grasp the workings of the LRC. When I "...Check Your Upload Status", it shows 0 votes. I assumed that by being added, either yourself or Bill reviewed it.
