Original composition: 1967, Juan Esquivel. Esquivel was a Mexican bandleader whose work has now found posthumous favour with the Loungecore generation. An arrangement of this song for string quartet appears on the Kronos Quartet's 2002 album "Nuevo."

This reminds me (oh gawd, am I going to date myself with this comment) of the music that was background for Newport cigarettes. Yes, boys and girls, there used to be TV commercials for cigaretts and booze... ah, the good old days!
