You collapsed into iron arms
A bridge across it to desperate hearts
Fill this quiet, this poison cup
The scar on your hollow drum, read:
Give me some (x4)
Turn the sound into words
Knotted flame conducts the course, but on this light synthesize The circuitry will memorize
Memorize
On my mind, you are
On my mind
I'll follow you down, I dreamt this love
Our memory still returning
We packed ours bags for Niagara Falls
To feel the water rushing
I'll follow you down, I dreamt this love
Our memory still returning
We packed our bags for Niagara Falls
Give me some (x4)

Definitely gets a few points for capturing that "quiet storm" ballad sound from the 1980s, somewhat like Stacy Lattisaw's "Let Me Be Your Angel".  I'm not sure anyone has been brave enough to tread that ground in recent years.
I miss Ohbijou.

Awful awful. Sit on one chord and noodle up and down the scale. So simplistic. Not to mention the voice.

Weird comment.  There is more than one chord in this song.  I accept that the voice is somewhat "take it or leave it" - I quite like it.
Naysayers be damned.  This song is right down my wheelhouse.  Love it & wouldn't change a thing.  Thanks RP!

yeah, the "cutesy" or "baby-type" vocals always grate on my nerves. not for me.
Yep I still love this - and once again - you people hating seem kinda foolish to me.
I really enjoyed this. I'm 12 years late to the party.
7 up to 8 - love the production and her voice!

Ah. Like REM or U2. Also here: not to mention the voice.

Wow - head turned to see who this was… I like it. fuck off haters.

Yeah, my head turned, too, thinking to myself: "WTF is that!?!?!?" Her voice just doesn't do it for me.

Wow -- New artist to me.
This caught me off guard.

From the comments frequency and positivity,  guessing not played often.

Going with a 6 to start off with, but will I ever hear it again?
"We represent the Lollipop Guild, the Lollipop Guild, the Lollipop Guild"...
i think this might actually be worse than dengue fever
Finally, a band with a female singer that does not try to sound like all those other unbearable whispering women. Excellent tune, with a bridge reminiscent of the best Sufjan Stevens music. Love it.
I wish you could go lower than a "1"
Excellent, haunting.
Good stuff
Can't get past the voice! Ewwww!
Love this song's weightlessness. A lovely love song. Are ya feeling it yet? {#Tongue}

Mr S.
I find myself agreeing with you.
Huh.
sometimes I wonder how some people get record contracts.  this was awful.
AHHHGGGG!!!
God awful. Must mute.

Interesting comment

I really like the song, but you have a point — although MANY artists are guilty of the same technique

The ubiquitous "girly" voice, it's everywhere.  Sorry, BORING!!

Perhaps a maudlin mouse in a helium bubble.

Normally I don't like these kewpie doll voices, but it seems to suit this song.  A 7 for now.

It's Lt. Hurwitz, severe shell-shock. Thinks he's Ethel Merman . . .

...oh, hi, i'm back, just had the strangest urge to floss my teeth
Am surprised no one thought of Sea of Bees .

It's all the stupid sonic affectations that made me wonder in the first few seconds if it was a Lana Del Rey song. Another solid 1 and I'm wishing there was a zero score.

D'oh tricked me again.
Hate these female vocalists who sound like baby bop.

Sounds like a Lana Del Rey song without a strong voice.

For a young band, I think this is a pretty mature sound.

My first reaction was Kate Bush meets Feist. And if you can see the cute Asian girl singing, the vocals totally make sense..

not Asian...first-generation Canadian of Filipino decent.
Blurring the border between music and noise. How many times can you bang that guitar off a building before it breaks?

This is so good, my favourite song right now, thanks for showing it to me Bill!

Wow, good stuff!
Its edgy.  Her voice isn't really thin, it sounds crafted to me - a cultivated vibrato coupled with her "two octaves above middle C" classic soprano.  Nice.  I like it.
Yuppers, can't abide her voice, despite liking other squeaky ladies like Kate Bush. A lot.
I agrere with many of the other posters: I just don't get much from female vocalists who sound like helium kewpie dolls. Makes me think of Britney Spears and Vanessa Paradis, both of whom I loath for this baby voice quality. Wrecks the otherwise interesting song.

My thoughts exactly. Nice instrumentation but I am not enjoying the voice.

Definitely agree! The voice is just too precious!

Minnie Mouse does come to mind. I wouldn't want to listen to her voice too many times. It'd be interesting to hear a fuller, richer woman's voice sing this.

Good work making the bass and drums work together on this song.

I'm liking the instrumentals but I find her voice is comparable to nails on a chalkboard.

Sounds like Angelo Badalamenti, but Ohbijou is an indie band from Toronto ... interesting sound.
