Here I go out to sea again
The sunshine fills my hair
And dreams hang in the air
Gulls in the sky and in my blue eyes
You know it feels unfair
There's magic everywhere
Look at me standing
Here on my own again
Up straight in the sunshine
No need to laugh and cry
It's a wonderful wonderful life
No need to laugh and cry
It's a wonderful wonderful life
The sun's in your eyes
The heat is in your hear
They seem to hate you
Because you're there
And I need a friend
Oh I need a friend to make me happy
Not stand here on my own
Look at me standing
Here on my own again
Up straight in the sunshine
No need to laugh and cry
It's a wonderful wonderful life
No need to laugh and cry
It's a wonderful wonderful life
I need a friend
Oh I need a friend
To make me happy
Not so alone
Look at me standing
Here on my own again
Up straight in the sunshine
No need to laugh and cry
It's a wonderful wonderful life
No need to laugh and cry
It's a wonderful wonderful life
No need to laugh and cry
It's a wonderful wonderful life
No need to laugh and cry
It's a wonderful wonderful life
Wonderful life

The original by Colin Vearncombe was far superior. Please pick up the CD Wonderful Life by Black and you certainly will be taken. The cover was not necessary. No justice for Colin.

How the original got rejected yet this low-rent cover version made it through I've no idea. This version has removed everything that made the original memorable.

And the original video is, I think, a perfect mix of artistic imagery and music. Simply brilliant stuff. Worth looking up on YouTube.

The first version of Black is so much better! Please add it to the playlist instead of this one <3

I never heard this song before.  Quite pleasant.

Whatever happened to that guy "Black"?  (Oh, I guess his name is Colin Vearncombe).  Loved his song............  At least this cover has got us remembering!

Sadly, he died a couple years ago in a car accident. All the more reason to be playing his original. And the video for the song was a masterpiece, where art meets music. (not that they're not both an art, but you know what I mean)
Great song, needless cover though. Adds nothing in my opinion. Not even the typical -great- Zucchero sound.. So why do it anyway? {#Think}

Ok cover. Would prefer the original though.

Nice cover of Black. Still prefer the original... lots of memories

Yeah, prefer the original too. This is just a bit too... clinical. Nice voice, but the production and arrangement is a bit soulless...
The original by Black was waaaay overplayed in Europe in 1987 although it apparently failed to register in US.
Nice cover of Black. Still prefer the original... lots of memories
