I am just like and arrow
Heading straight for a destiny
And no one and nothing can take that away from me
It's something that defies what the eye can see

Nothing and no one is as real
Ans as pure and as dark as a dream

I was just like a sailor
Heading out to uncharted seas
I thought that the limit was the horizon
Discovered there was more than the eye could see

Nothing and no one is as real
Ans as pure and as dark as a dream
And nothing, no thothing lasts forever
And I take heart in all that I cannot see

I was just like an arrow
Heading straight for a destiny
Then I met you and the world opened up in fron of me
Revealing there was more than the eye could see...

The cover art for her 2014 album I Awake: Live at The Sydney Opera House might help people to see this one.

Good to know. Thanks for sharing :-P

Given what a tornado sounds like on the outside and some basic knowledge about the propagation of sound, I doubt that.  Regardless of the inevitability of death, which available evidence and logic are firmly in favor of.
This must be what it sounds like to be trapped inside of a tornado, knowing that death is inevitable.

The music on RP is great, but the comments and resulting banter are even better.  I.E. camouflaged criticism. (A Brit I'm assuming)

Someone going to get annoyed with Lorde ;D

Love singers from the land down under
This song brought tears out of my eyes. I'm surprised by the cover art.

Of course it is ! I'm really sorry so for you...
As Wolfie said to Salieri, "And then it just repeats?". Melodically much of the stuff I hear on RP is 6-notes of melody repeated for 72 bars interspersed with a break to keep the singer from going into a trance. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It makes an effective contrast to the 1st-rate songwriters that RP also plays (pick your muse; mine is Joni Mitchell; ooh, baby). I guess not every musician is going to be Mozart and there are 24 hours in a day on RP that need to be filled with something, and so we also have Cowboy Junkies and ... Blasko. But I would rather hear Bjork than Blasko, anytime. ...
No.
I'm liking this more on second or third listening so think I will bump it from 7 —> 8.
Beautiful. But it sounds very sad considering it is a song about a new found love.

Sounds almost like Anna Ternheim
Shivering - 9!
I kind of didn't mind her stuff so I went and saw her.  It was a great performance and has subsequently somehow raised all her music to another level in my mind.  Funny how that happens.
Wow, this is good
spooky!
Nice song, however it breaks the "tired metaphor & cliché" limit quite handily.
{#Boohoo} Nicholas Wales' orchestral arrangements are divine!

think Ringo would more likely say 'sound; boss, ace, fab, the gear la' in a bad LA/Scouse accent. Just sayin' kidda, like, y'know worra mean ey.
Indeed, unique voice.

Indeed. Coincidence?
Gets an 8 just for the album art....and more for the music.
I guess I'm the lone man out. I'm really liking both of the songs from this cd on the RP rotation list
dramatic poop...

your first breath and your last are more real than everything else that happens in between. can you see either of those?   and the music has a mood that compliments the image in the words. ...a sin? good gee-od, that's just ridiculous. the beatles were a corporate gold mine; a globally successful boy band; not deities.

The Beatles are gods...  this song is poop...

but those are just my opinions...

Not my taste.

To The You Of Ten Years Ago, Now
by Dora Malech

Never fear. I know the difference between
arteries and ardor, arbor and treed,
my bower and a weak-kneed need, a harbor
where one might moor tonight and a port worth
the oars' effort to come ashore for, a bit
part and the serpent's gravid apple. I won't
flatter myself first or lasting, or
presume to fast and feint a martyr, making
mockery of sacrifice, fatten
for some sweet slaughter. I might believe that I'm
not on your mind. On your body? Sure.
That said, your body has a few ideas
so bright that we might meet some night and render
a dark room light as the last day before
the world ends, that doom that was supposed to dawn
today, but by now, hours worn on and in,
we know there's no such luxury as fine
as that finality for now. For now,
at least, I'll have to kiss apocalypse
goodbye, resign myself to this more mundane
pain, the solace of the solstice, year's
earliest sunset and its longest night.
I try to catch that fade of color with,
without a flash. Both tries prove terrible.
The horizon smudges up against the sky's blur
like a child's heavy-handed landscape
and inept erasure. They'll have to do.
The pictures that I have of you will never
do you justice, either, neither a camera's
snap nor some synaptic crackle long
elapsed can come remotely close to holding
you. How else would you have it? You need
never fear. I need you, but I only need you
where you are: there, never far, never near.

Damn Lazarus (nee' Romeo) - that's gotta be the first negative review of yours I've read! I'm not quite so dismissive - I think it perfectly moody and I like the sound of her interesting voice. Nothing earth-shattering, just okay.

I have to say this song is a vile bile pile of abstract clichés—  "more than the eye could see"?  How 'bout two eyes?  That phrase is one example of a boring cliché—  NOT anything original...  and the music is dull and listless...

Radio Paradise is the best radio station in the history of radio broadcasting—  I never imagined a radio station would ever be this good...

but it is a sin to play this Sarah Blasko song next to a song by the Beatles...  it is a sin!

Love it ... going on my Playlist.
I always think it's Ellie Goulding when it starts. But I prefer this much more - so it's always a pleasant surprise.

Sounds like an odd mix of something by Portishead and something from Mars Attacks.
Yes it made me stop in my tracks too. Beautiful voice and lyrics.

I like the sound of this! An easy 8!
i like these Swedish singers—-the darkness.
I thought this was Anna Ternheim at first, but the instrumentation is a little too lush for her Scandinavian minimalism. This Sarah has a nice strong voice, and this could be a real grower. 7 from the Nottingham jury.
