You've got a nerve, you know you make me hate
One thing I love you try to take away
I'm not beaten down, I won't behave
Just listen this once or you will rue this day

You have no respect
Fear me tonight if you're not listening
It might be unking but it might be right
That you're not listening

Set them up, knock them down
Cast the left, cast them right
God-fearing tonight

Biting my lip and holding my tongue
Was the most stupid thing that I've ever done
Got carried away, let myself down
I'll shoulder that blame if you'll admit what you've down

You have no respect
Fear me tonight if you're not listening
It might be unkind but it might be right
That you're not listening

Set them up, knock them down
Cast the left, cast them right
God-fearing tonight

Regina Spektor & Metric's love child?

Ugggh aaargh. This is not one of the finest selections here in RP land. Goin' to an unprecedented low. I think the song means well, but it's a 4 and I'm feeling generous.

I think you are very generous giving this song a 4...  the lyrics are muddled and meaningless...  the melody is putrid...  the instrumentation is dull and boring...  I rated this song as low as possible...

Laz, I don't think I've ever seen a negative comment from you!

She just irks my gizzards because she pretends like she is the muddled voice of some god... and I can't stand that dimpled melody...

That's unnecessary and, by invoking the late Cynaera who was liked and admired by many, unpleasant sarcasm.

I am really trying to figure this song out...  I guess I will just go ahead and give it a Sucko-barfo rating...  I don't care for the melody at all, and the lyrics seem rather muddled to me...

according to Wikipedia, both parents were Christian missionaries... By the age of 15, Blasko was concerned she "wouldn't make it" and was partially influenced by the apocalyptic message of the "End of the World" and "Christ's Return". Blasko eventually left the church in her final year of school, declaring that its emphasis on material success "just didn't fit" with her, or her interpretation of the scriptures. However, Blasko has since stated that she thinks she still believes in "God", despite her perception that such an admission is unpopular in Australia.

Here are the muddled lyrics (too ambiguous to generate emotion, in my humble opinion...)—

Huh!  I thought it was that other singer that sounds like this.  The one that does the row boat song.

Still like it though.

Bill, thanks for the songs you've played tonight...eclectic would be an injustice...surrealistic...now how about some Airplane...I've been needing to head down the rabbit hole...
New to me, need more listens to decide.
