For instance, since Lincoln, name ONE thing the Republicans have done for the middle class? You cant!
They do NOT want you to know this but they have been AGAINST every social advance of the middle class, like Social security, minimum wages (they were actually for a MAXIMUM wage for workers), 40 hour work week, paid vacation, Medicare, Medicaid, GI Bill for education, Civil Rights, womens vote and right to choose, and much, much more. Their only true loyalty is and always has been the very rich and giant corporations.

For anyone interested, here's an article that appeared in Salon today. It discusses right-wing hand-wringing over the DHS communications to local police about "growing right-wing extremist activity." (And HC, I'm sure it touches on some of the same points your link does. But really, the huge red letters were a total turnoff.) I guess the point raised in the article is my point about the whole Tea Party thing: where was the outrage before? If government spending is an issue, why weren't these people upset before now? Don't answer. I'm pretty sure it can't be discussed without personal attacks and flaming. The problem with overt partisanship is that one tends to be blinded by one's identification. Uh huh. So much for lowering the rancor here.
I guess its only fair then if a few new threads are created devoted to highlighting LeftWingNutZ.
After all, that would be the fair and balanced thing to do.
Maybe I'll address that oversight after I get back from another fine evening of live music. Have fun with your hatred folks.
Why not just start the "I Hate Everyone Who Isn't Me" thread?

As for stringing Republicans up from the lamp posts...well, the government could toss them in jail, throw away the key, and tell anyone inquiring about them to fuck off, because after all they might possibly theoretically develop into a threat some day. Of course, some smarmy lawyer from the American Communist Losers' Union could use the dratted writ of Habeas Corpus to spring them (the ACLU has taken the case of Republicans from time to time, BTW). Oh, that damned Habeas Corpus!! Of all the stupidity - making the government give good reasons for jailing people!

And you're *not* posting to it? Actually, I posted here because I happened to have a photo of Alan Keyes, which I took with my own little hands. And Keyes was being discussed. And I genuinely am curious about the Tea Parties. I have questions, but I sure as hell am not going to ask them here. Someone at RP (I'm sorry I can't remember who, as I don't have time to file every little post away for future use) asked if we couldn't just have one thread entitled "Political Extremists." I'd be okay with that. As for the "hatred" bit, just cut it out. Apparently what some see as hatred, others see as normal discourse, depending on the point of view. It'd be wonderful if there could be fewer threads inflammatory thread titles, but I guess that's not going to happen. I'd rather see "Fox Spews" as "Fox News: Tactics" or something a little less reactionary, just as I'd rather see a thread called "Political Extremists" than "RightWingNutz" or "The Moonbat Times" or what have you. Whatever. Enjoy your live music.

Albert Einstein once said "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".
The RightWing nuts are the epitome of this. Their answer is STILL "Cut taxes on the rich and corporations and deregulate big business".
They all need to be taken away in straight jackets.

ScottFromWyoming wrote:No, we know Keyes is a loon. Madman said it sounded like Keyes was advocating a coup. Dio said it wouldn't happen and listed some reasons. So tell Madman about Keyes but leave me out of it. You have a disagreement with Obama is our most popular President since Reagan;
as well you should. Reagan left office with a 63% approval rating. Bill Clinton left office with a 66% approval rating. And you also disagree with the statement that the military isn't with the extreme right wing haters, therefore aren't likely to participate in a coup. Okay. All right, everyone seems to agree that Keyes is a nutjob. OTOH, IMO these are sort of nutjob times. You know what it all kind of reminds me of? Descriptions of France right before World War II. As for a coup attempt, I still think there's some outside chance of an abortive attempt, even if it's nothing more than the effort mounted by the Japanese novelist Yukio Mishima , who exhorted an audience of cadets to join in a coup and they responded by chanting "asshole! asshole! asshole!". Obama does have some Reaganesque qualities - after all, Reagan was the Great Communicator, and his detractors regarded him as an empty suit. It also amuses me when I read all the complaints about the press fawning over Obama - you'd think Obama was made of Teflon or something.

We didn't stick around for the whole thing, because some of the rhetoric was a little scary (and blood-pressure raising), so we didn't hear Keyes speak. After lunch, though, we watched the end of the rally. You can see my photoset of the Tea Party here. I've been thinking about this thing ever since Saturday; I'd like to write about it on my blog. I'm not sure I'm up for getting into a discussion of it here. But I did want to show yinz my photo of Mr. Keyes. So that's not tea. What did they use? Corn flakes? Sawdust? What cheap bastiges.
