The alien looks a little befuddled as well. I guess the two guys are supposed to be sailors stationed in the Pacific? I can usually recognize Kelly Freas' work right away - that's what caught my eye about that picture.
I find the whole thing highly amusing, too, but the reaction (mine included) is pretty much a social-media dog-pile and the vast majority of even outraged Christians think this is a bs issue. I mean it's like getting upset that someone gave your favourite track on RP a 1 rating.

I re-read your post several times before I posted (I don't usually even enter these threads because it's dangerous waters for a squishy pacifist like myself) but I utterly missed the satire. I believe you that it was there, though, and I'm sorry for jumping your shit about it!

I will admit that I've never liked this one. As a mathematician anything I post there is axiomatically germane therefore it is impossible for me to jack it. I don't think that's really fair.
