It makes sense to me but seems like a lot of work to implement when some users only want to capture *any* 12 hours of RP so that they have something to listen to.

So anyway if you're loading up your cache as you leave home, then go to work and come home 12 hours later and want to play the cached music, that won't work. 

I was pretty excited when I heard about this option to listen to RP offline, but every time I cache the full 12 hours available, it simply disappears.  I see the developer posted on this topic about a month ago, I'm wondering if there's been any updates or am I just doing something wrong?

Using 4.02 on iPad 3 and iPhone 4. Both IOS7.
iPad crashes, also seems very confused about whats in the cache. Same as the earlier version.
iPhone 4 works fine, no crashes, glitch-free.

Can I suggest a mod.
Have an option of minimum cache (5-10min) that lightens the load on your server and is to ensure glitch-free in wifi environment? Very tempting to slide amount to several hours despite when not going on the road. 
Also, the 'cancel' option on cache is misleading. Better if it was 'exit'. Cancel implies cancelling the cache option totally. 

Great idea, love to see it fixed.

I am trilled about this cache idea, unfortunatly it does not work. It is an ordeal every morning trying to download. Then if I manage to download by time I get to my destination it won't play. Great concept but needs some tweaking.

Attempted to play from cache with 445 minutes.  Long delay, whirling wait icon, app crashed.  Upon re-opening, cache is gone.

I think the caching function might need another look.  Maybe I don't understand the function but so far in 18+ hrs only 344mins has apparently been cached.  With a cache set for 8 hours at this rate I guess about 25 hrs are needed to fill an 8hr cache.   Is the caching not at least in real time?
