She was, and an excellent head of our university (vice principles are in charge, the principle is a figurehead, in our case, Princess bloody Anne).

She was also a leading member of the Pugwash Group - a kind of antidote to the Bilderberg Group.

I remember that at her welcome speech to us freshers she said that as young people with bright minds and many interests, it was entirely likely that many of us would meet our lifetime partners at university.

Well, she was right, although it took us slightly longer than an undergrad course.....

Obituary for Led Zeppelin II

Led Zeppelin II, formerly known as George F. Blackburn climbed the "Stairway to Heaven" May 18, 2012 at Alton Memorial Hospital. He was born July 26, 1947 in Milwaukee, WI, to Loraine and Alfonzo Blackburn. He grew up in downtown Chicago during the '60's. He worked for TWA for 32 years in Chicago and then St. Louis, retiring in 1997. He is survived by his father Alfonzo; his brother Joe Blackburn; his son Joe Jr.; his sister Sandy and her husband Gary; his loving daughters Melissa and her spouse Chuck Gray of Phoenix, AZ, and Mindy and Bill Baker of Seattle, WA; his ex-wife and friend Cheryl Blackburn of Bethalto, IL; a special grandson Josh Blackburn, his wife Melissa; and dear grandchildren Brandon and Abigale of Phoenix, AZ.
