I wish I could adequately voice a helpful opinion about these medications, but I'm afraid my opinion is dependently unqualified. Still, spiritual healing is a tricky business, and not for the unprepared.

Thanks everyone. I took one yesterday and have been extremely nauseous since about 2 hours afterward. Also developed a migraine like headache last night. Just got a sip of water to stay down. Doc had said can cause stomach issues.... But I surely didn't expect this!!

I took it about 10 years ago. I would describe it as very effective at giving me a "vacation from my problems" at the time. I recall the first couple of weeks were very difficult to get my body to adjust to the drug (a lot of tremors and racing thoughts), but after about two weeks the drug started to win, and as I said, was pretty effective. I went on it with a plan to get off within a year (with the help of a good therapist), and started weaning myself off after 6 months. Took about five weeks to discontinue use, which wasnt so bad, except for the not so uncommon brain zaps. As with any drug, your mileage may vary. I chose paxil to help me with my problems at the time because of a family member who previously had similar positive results. Biggest side effect I noticed was I became sleepy in the afternoon - napping was easy - and some mouth sores and weird taste in the pallet.

I take Lexapro too, and it has no side effects, except I think it makes me tired. I take such a small dose, it prolly is just a placebo effect anyway

I took paxil for awhile. Took away my anxiety. Like all other drugs like this, it's very difficult to stop.
