Yeah, so I had covid in March, found out that my chemo was causing heart damage, and then had the flu in April, after vacation.

SO.... I now have a cardiologist, and new meds that should help my heart to repair itself..but that also cause my blood pressure to drop. 
My blood pressure is already on the low side, so... yeah, I almost passed out yesterday after taking the new meds.

I'm waiting for a call from the cardiologist's office regarding what we try now. Hopefully, we can just lower the dosage and keep going.

In the meantime, my chemo has been suspended, but I will still go to the oncologist once a month for the medication that works against the bone metastasis.  

They are also going to submit my blood for further testing for newer,  alternate treatments.

So, I am NOT out of options yet, and I fully intend to keep fighting..... I've got a baby great niece to keep tabs on!!!

Woke up with  a fever this morning...supposed to have  my treatment tomorrow, after delaying  a week so that I could arrange to go to Illinois when BHD was there.... hmmmmm...please  send some positive juju... Thanks!

I met Steve when we were in Cub Scouts, where at our weekly meetings, our birthdays were always celebrated at the same time because we're two days apart. Over the years we worked the same jobs, dated the same girls, played the same sports, ski patrol, college. The only difference was that he was in a band, and I only go to *see* bands. I went to California; he went to Laramie. He joined the Navy and when he was stationed at Mare Island near San Francisco, I dragged him to see Translator, Jonathan Richman, and one night in Chinatown, it started raining suddenly so we ducked into a dive bar where a Vietnamese couple had just been married and the band was playing Vietnamese rockabilly in full costume and we were treated to many free beers. He transferred to Tuscaloosa and of course was on a boat sometimes but in the end, we wound up 100 miles apart. I used to go drag him to shows in Billings (Asleep at the Wheel, Los Lobos, Lyle Lovett) but that slowed when my family came on the scene, although Justine and I would go see his band from time to time. I always threatened to drag him to another show, another time. I saw him performing at the county fair here last summer, and would see facebook activity of where he's playing this weekend or next. He played in a classic rock cover band, and did a solo John Denver tribute act that is funny just because everyone always said he looked like John Denver so I guess it was inevitable. He'd call me up out of the blue once or twice a year, just to catch up and maybe relive the glory days (as the Boss called them), but if I'd been more tuned in, I might have recognized the signs.
