There's a lot to learn
For wastin' time
There's a heart that burns
There's an open mind

Look out for my love, look out for my love
Look out for my love, look out for my love
You own it
You own it now
You own it

There's a weight on you
But you can't feel it
Livin' like I do
It's hard for you to see it

Was I hurt too bad
Can I show you daylight
How could I be sad
When I know that you might

Look out for my love, look out for my love
Look out for my love, look out for my love

Look out for my love
It's in your neighborhood
I know things are gonna change
But I can't say bad or good

Silver wings of morning
Shinin' in the gray day
While the ice is forming
On a lonely runway

Hydraulic wipers pumping
'Til the window glistens
Something saying something
No one seems to listen

Men with walkie-talkies
Men with flashlights waving
Up upon the tower
Time reads daylight savings

I'm home again to you babe
You know, it makes me wonder
Sittin' in the quiet slipstream
In the thunder

Look out for my love, look out for my love
Look out for my love, look out for my love
Look out for my love, look out for my love
Look out for my love
Look out for my love

ever since he took his music off Spotify over Joe fucking Rogan, I deleted all of his music. Fuck him. He came crawling back to Spotify .. again. Fuck him.  These hippies who are all about freedom?  Hypocrites,  ALL of them.

No.
Simply awful, but then that's expected. Not just the voice, which grates in my ears over the noise of my workshop extractor, but the high school band backing. Do people pay to see this lot?

I hear ya! I love playing NY or CSN&Y songs on guitar but man... trying to reach some of notes I just can't. Damn good music!
I hate, HATE neil old!! The Canadian Bob dyldo

Yet Robert Smith 'singing' on Cure songs rates a 10?

My second favourite song from this album after Peace of Mind.
8/10

1978... I had a part-time job working in the camera department at Korvettes (old department store chain). This was one of three albums we could play over the sound system. Although I couldn't avoid having heard some Neil Young before then, this was the first time I was really aware of him. I vividly remember around that time being in French class and a bunch of people were going to see him, and a bunch of others were going to see Dylan over the same weekend.
Saw him at a solo gig in the late 90's and after the show there was a meet and greet and I had brought the Comes a Time CD jacket for him to sign (just in case). We were given a stock photo for signatures as he approached I pulled out the jacket which was snatched away by his bodyguards saying he won't sign that... bummer!
There is simply nothing else like Neil Young; such rocking sensibility, such sly wordplay; what an innate grasp of musical uniqueness...
Still one of his finest albums in his "2nd phase" of his career...long strange trip.
I (guess) I admire his artistic independence.  Too bad his results aren't better.  Too much in love with his own stuff to edit the 75% chaff.
Is this Cowpie in the Sky?
happy belated Canada day!

Great album, Neil is the most versitile and unselfconcious performer in "popular " music. Everyday I discover new genuis that I missed over the past 42 years!{#Daisy}{#Jump}

yes and such a lovely song
1978 - what a year, it was the year.... and Mr Young was there for us,,,,with us.   Its great to still have him around at RP.
You connect up from across the world, and within two songs comes this.  Without stations like this we wouldn't hear these wonderful songs anything like as much.  Truly excellent.
One of Neil's best albums.

Nice!
Great song. Linda Ronstadt made a beatifull cover on her album Mad Love from 1980. Very much worth playing her version as well.

I think that this album was made with musicians other than Crazy Horse. I like the Crazy Horse albums OK but I feel that Neil does better when he is backed by better players.

Thanks for posting this. The haters just all sound sad and pathetic after a while.

What can I say, it's Neil Young...

I just asked a friend to stop playing his guitar so that I could crank this...  Some might call me rude, but he's a young'un and smart enough to know when something's worth listening to.
I just love it still...
play this one about twice a day for me.......
Acoustic Neil is almost always greatness. And this song is certainly no exception.

I kind of like the creepy lyrics.

I was going to add also a "3) and how come I have never heard of you and one of your excellent songs" but then I decided that was inaccurate and unfair. That is, I remembered what I think we all know which is that good art is not always recognized as such by the masses. I am, on occasion, capable of at least some restraint.

Ah, this is the "instruments not in tune" set. Eek.{#Eek}

Neil Percival Young<1> OM (born November 12, 1945) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, musician and film director.

Young's work is characterized by deeply personal lyrics, distinctive guitar work, and signature falsetto tenor singing voice. Although he accompanies himself on several different instruments-including piano and harmonica-his clawhammer acoustic guitar style and often idiosyncratic electric guitar soloing are the linchpins of a sometimes ragged, sometimes polished sound. Although Young has experimented widely with differing music styles, including swing, jazz, rockabilly, blues, and electronic music throughout a varied career, his best known work usually falls into either of two distinct styles: folk-esque acoustic rock ("Heart of Gold", "Harvest Moon" and "Old Man") and electric-charged hard rock (like "Cinnamon Girl", "Rockin' in the Free World" and "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)"). In recent years, Young has adopted elements from newer styles like industrial, alternative country and grunge. Young's profound influence on the latter caused some to dub him "the godfather of grunge". As of mid-2008, Young has sold an estimated eighty million albums worldwide.<

very cool song IMO.  wish he'd left out the key change at that one "..look out for my love.." but I doubt Neil gives a flying rat's about what I think on there

Wow, I have never heard any version of this song other than Linda Ronstadt's (from her great 80s LP Mad Love). Who's covering who here?
I like Neil. He's a good man. I like a lot of his songs. This one, for me, sounds creaky and depressing.

and just plain pathetic to boot, in this instance.{#Razz}
Funny, I love most if not all the songs off this album but I've never rated it as one of his best. Perhaps, for me,  the songs sound better individually than together as a package.

enlightening ignorance at it's least

Just when I think Neil's voice couldn't be any worse, RadioParadise always comes up with a new one for me.

My main whine is that RP could play a "song" of Neil Young's cat warbling after getting boiling water thrown on it, and as long as RP said it was Neil Young, people would rate it a 9 or a 10.

One of my late husband's favorite albums.
I miss him. {#Sunny}

Another great Neil tune.
great song from a fine album, back to basic Neil
As a sometime Neil Young fan, I gotta say his voice always rates a 2. Otherwise he wouldn't be Neil Young. Part of the charm. Feghoot wrote:

This is what Neil does so very very well, SINGS FROM THE HEART! Beautiful, beautiful song. Sounds like maybe Steve, David and/or Graham guest vocals?
I love the last verse, about the airplane.

Indeed! Here, the hopeful yearning resonates. The imperfections that others hear I hear as reflections of true and deep emotion.
finally, a good song. a true poet. to all the folk that kiss srv ass, simplicity is often better in the end. technique is good but shit without composition.

Me too.
Whenever I hear Mr. Young, I ask: Is Neil Young God? And the answer is always: We could do worse. c.
a nice segue from Wilco and a great song
I can't even tell you how many times I've listened to this great album. Harmonies by (the late) Nicolette Larson.

A friend of mine put it quite well I think. Neil has white boy soul.

Great song! Check out the new biograpy on him \"Shakey\"
Haven\'t heard this version for years (although the Unplugged version is pretty good as well). Classic Neil - a 10! Thanks RP!
