Simply awful, but then that's expected. Not just the voice, which grates in my ears over the noise of my workshop extractor, but the high school band backing. Do people pay to see this lot?

1978... I had a part-time job working in the camera department at Korvettes (old department store chain). This was one of three albums we could play over the sound system. Although I couldn't avoid having heard some Neil Young before then, this was the first time I was really aware of him. I vividly remember around that time being in French class and a bunch of people were going to see him, and a bunch of others were going to see Dylan over the same weekend.

Saw him at a solo gig in the late 90's and after the show there was a meet and greet and I had brought the Comes a Time CD jacket for him to sign (just in case). We were given a stock photo for signatures as he approached I pulled out the jacket which was snatched away by his bodyguards saying he won't sign that... bummer!

Great song. Linda Ronstadt made a beatifull cover on her album Mad Love from 1980. Very much worth playing her version as well.

I think that this album was made with musicians other than Crazy Horse. I like the Crazy Horse albums OK but I feel that Neil does better when he is backed by better players.

Just when I think Neil's voice couldn't be any worse, RadioParadise always comes up with a new one for me.

My main whine is that RP could play a "song" of Neil Young's cat warbling after getting boiling water thrown on it, and as long as RP said it was Neil Young, people would rate it a 9 or a 10.
