Kala means timing (of the beats), or rhythm. Rupa means shape. So kalarupa is essentially the shape of the rhythm. So I believe this whole album is about experimenting with the timings of rhythms.

Thank You for the info.  EXCELLENT TUNE!
One of those average ratings that feel weird... it's eazy 8 for me, might grew up (or down) later on (after multiple hearings).

Sounds like a soundtrack to something. Interesting but it probably won't make it to my vinyl collection.

Don't you think the world is a little more complex than that...?

Sounds like something from Cordoba circa 1350, if you were on a parallel planet.
"No...fill out form 2...go to 4th floor ....see Mr. Foreman in flooring...then you will have to fill out form 3 in free form. He's in a forum right now, do a favor for 'im."
Another most excellent instrumental interlude, will have to check this guy out. Also intrigued by the Sanskrit in the CD title ("black" + "body" or "form", I believe).Curious as to context. Addenda: turns out "kala" here refers to "time", hence kala rupa = "time form" which makes sense given that the cuts are Form 1, Form 2 etc.(Thanks to an Amazon.com consumer review). Excellent bio to be found https://www.vasmusic.com/Bio%27s/Greg_Ellis_Bio.htm Also learned there of "Vas", his project with vocalist Ali Azeem of the Master Musicians of Jajouka. Will have to check out "Sunyata"(Emptiness). Mr. Ellis obviously draws some inspiration from the Buddhadharma.
Wow, kewl change-up. Where did this come from?
Nice set - Israelites, Jerusalem, and now the Middle East.
Irritating
Very cool. I cranked up my speakers for this song.
