ahh matador...ahh matador

ahh Matador, ahh matador
la cana te busca matador
la cana te prende matador...

matador..!! matador..!!, donde estás matador?
no te vayas, matador..!! matador..!!,
oh yeah matador..!!, matador..!! matador..!!

ahh matador.. ahh matador..
mirá hermano en que terminaste
por pelear por un mundo mejor
Qué suenan, son balas, me alcanzan,
me atrapan, resiste, Víctor Jara no calla.

Matador..!!, matador..!! matador te están buscando
matador..!! matador..!! matador te están matando
oh yeah matador..!!, matador..!! .. valiente matador

matador..!!, matador..!! a dónde vas matador?
matador..!! ohh yeah..
matador..!!, matador..!!

My wife always tells me the same story about her friend that is in the video for this song, then dances all over the house every time it comes on!
Used in the 2010 US Open in the intro to a match featuring the great Rafael Nadal!
¿ 6.5 ?  Ay, mis gringos sonámbulos.  Wake up !!
Fabulosos en radio paradise... HolyF
This song is truly an anthem in latinamerica
First time hearing this. What a great tune! Opens with a 7 and a bullet from South Billyburg.
What rollicking fun this song is!
By pure luck, saw LFC at the House of Blues in Chicago way back in the late 90's.  Super fun show and a hardcore following.
Just came home, put on RP and this ... Friday night is off to a great start!!

My upload. Seems more folks like it than not. It is just a great song for getting into a great mood. Love the samba styled drums and whistles. Glad it works for others!
"Whack-A-Mole"?? 3.
We don't speak the same language.
¡Fabuloso! Excellent toe-tapping stuff! 8 from the Nottingham jury.

The beginning is just like Paul Simon's Obvious Child. Both excellent.

In Spain, there are no old bulls. (to paraphrase a Mexican Matador's insult to Spanish Matadors..I no translate well)
Thank God for Radio Paradise, the radio where you can hear anything good from anywhere. And Matador is a classic from Latin America. Period.
Time To Go Bull Fighting.

Thank God you are not a translator. A bit of imagination could turn this group into "The Fab Cads"... Move your shoulders, yeah!!!
Catchy...yeah throw of that jacket and tie and shake it!
Bill!!! Please!!! It's 5:00 on a Friday afternoon. Stop cranking out the good music! I want to go home!

¡Pulgar arriba!
What is it with the Latin songs on this station?! I wouldn't mind them once in a while but do I have to hear like 5 during my working hours? Thank God for the mute button. No mas! NO MAS!

Yes, in fact I thought this was some live version of that song. The drumming sounded nigh exact...
!!!!!
Olodum innit?
... Los Fabulosos Cadillacs - Howen - Fabulosos Calavera - on LRC @ same time, how Fabulsos! ...
That song did a better job of giving me a jump start this morning than my cup of coffee! Loved it!!
Nooooooooooooooo..........that was way too short!!
First notes, I was wondering why I knew this song so well, and then remembered that it's also on the "Grosse Pointe Blank" soundtrack. Perfect for a mid-week lull.
It's been latin music night on RP. I like it. :)
Boy, El Mariachi by Los Lobos and Matador, both within hours of each other?! What wonderful thing did I do to deserve this treat?

Great minds think alike... And I used to drive one. My old man's 1975 AMC Matador, aka Large Marge the Safety Barge.
It's stuff like this that makes RP the rockin' choice.
Positively smile-inducing! That horn section sounds like it landed in a UFO.
Knock off the whistle and it would be a much better song.
Popped in to see if I'd sucko-barfoed this before. Nope. Have now, though.

AMAZING! I was lying in bed with a terrible headache but couldn't stop myself of doing this, 11... The song pays homage to one of the Latin American singers that fought the hardship of dictatorships with his song. He was murdered by Pinochet's mercenaries, though. One of the lines of the song says: "resiste Victor Jara", for those interested in knowing more, you can google it. Impresionante che... Vivan los Fabulosos!
my first time hearing about these guys was about 12 years ago, when i was in italy. i hadn't heard a peep out of them since. thanks, bill. :)
