Combing the snakes in his head
Reading a book in his bed
Getting ready for the night to begin
Waiting for daylight to end

In this court of law
This court of common pleas
The crimes that you've committed
You claim were only a dream

Ev'ryone has the same dreams
On diff'rent days of the week
We are the watchdogs of your mind
We are the dream police

The judge has closed his eyes

The court begins to dream
Of crimes that you committed
While you were lying asleep

Ev'reyone has the same dreams
On diff'rent days of the week
We are the watchdogs of your mind
We are the dream police

Combing the snakes in his head
Reading a book in his bed
Getting ready for the night to begin
Waiting for daylight to end
Getting ready for the night to begin
Waiting for daylight to end

tedium
tedious byrne-Out!
Does anyone listen to these Post Talking Heads vanity projects form our favorite On the Spectrum performer? Just awful.
David Byrne is a musical genius
Forgot about this song from the late 80's.
Thanks for bringing it back!
Saw DB with his Brazilian band in Central Park SummerStage, on a July day, must've been over 100 degrees.
The band was wearing all white, they were soaked.  Awesome show.
It sounded so much more dynamic on "Live at Budokan" with the whole band.
kinda neat : )  cha-cha chaaaa
I was really enjoying the salsa until Byrne's weak poncey voice spoiled it :(
Not a fan of ol' Davy boy Ever since Microsoft included one of his tunes with their OS it has been down hill in my book....... Talking heads on the other hand... I Like it.....
I love this CD. One of David's lesser known projects.
I'd like to see DB cover Cheap Trick's version of 'Dream Police'.

What is that I hear? David Byrne? HERE COME THE HATERS! You go, Bill. DB and Talking Heads are awesome.
I don't hate DB--he's just not that interesting a singer. He's generally better when working with Brian Eno (and that includes the Talking Heads stuff).
