Set the sails I feel the winds a'stirring
Toward the bright horizon set the way
Cast your wreckless dreams upon our Mayflower
Haven from the world and her decay

And who could heed the words of Charlie Darwin
Fighting for a system built to fail
Spooning water from their broken vessels
As far as I can see there is no land

Oh my god, the water's all around us
Oh my god, it's all around

And who could heed the words of Charlie Darwin
The lords of war just profit from decay
And trade their children's promise for the jingle
The way we trade our hard earned time for pay

Oh my god, the water's cold and shapeless
Oh my god, it's all around
Oh my god, life is cold and formless
Oh my god, it's all around

I think it's a truly great song. The relatively high number of low ratings surprise me.
Didn't hear this when it aired, but after a weekend being driven around by a friend with the album on, I did come back home with 'Home I'll never be' by 'the low anthem' stuck in my head.  I knew RP would have to have something by them, it's why I love RP. love to see the reaction to the rawer sounds.
Here's to hoping they don't play this one for another month.
Holy road apples, Batman!
"Ho-Hum."
Good thing Music continues to Evolve.

Sounds just like Thom Yorke, only worse. This is surely the voice that sunk a thousand ships. Still, I'm sure other RP folk will love this to bits, but sadly the voice goes through my brain like a hot knife through butter.

You a right, this sounds bland here too for some reason (the shitty Yamaha computer speakers might explain it).  But I also got it as part of a sampler given in the Christmas issue of Paste magazine.  And on my McIntosh, this really soars.

A bit Hem-like - but not.

I guess God trumps Charlie Darwin...and he likes the song.

If Charlie Darwin was right this song will never air again.  Please, God, let Charlie be right.

Strangely compelling, but not something I would want to listen to a lot.
hmmm... liked it despite my initial knee-jerk antipathy to breathy vocals combined with go-nowhere music. I reserve the right to hate it the next time it plays.
