I can argue with the mime
I can argue with the mime
he is reading me the riot act
every line

every lawyer in his prime
every lawyer in his prime
gets nostalgic for the bar's
naivete to crime

ascetics wring their hands
this decadent misuse
inside my china room
you are my coffee spoon

my indulgence is a joke
and while everybody laughs
I'm clipping coupons
and saving my breath

I was celebrating Lent
with a candle in a tent
when you came and snatched me up
out of retirement

now I'm buying finer clothes
in department store windows
throwing credit cards down
never raise my voice

That's getting REALLY weak.

First listen. started as an 8 and, by the end of the song it's a 10 and already purchased thanks to the RP links.

Nice transition from ELO Bill!
Not bad! Nice set again!
I like this more and more with each listen.

My kids got me into these guys.

{#Yell}  We have much to learn from our children.

Yay what a great way to sample this new album.  Loved their first album (obsession-level) and never got the 2nd, but this little EP sounds good, for the 3 songs RP has played off it so far...
strong My Morning Jacket vibe.  anyone else?
This song just snuck up on me.  Ignored it the first time, tapped my toe the second.  Now I turn up my radio.   There's a lot about these  Cold War Kids that isn't exactly my bag...but hey!  How'd this song get in my bag?!  I'm not inclined to take it out.

His voice on this track is much less annoying than usual.
as much as i like their 'hang me out to dry' single, which is a great song, overall these guys really aren't very good. the music goes nowhere and the lyrics just rant on about irrelevant places and things...
Cool Kids !!
Can't buy MP3's from this EP on Amazon! {#Frustrated}

Agreed! Did just that, now.

Mmmm, nice.   This is drop-what-you're-doing-and-turn-it-up good.
There is a line from a T.S. Elliot poem: "I have measured out my life in coffee spoons."
(The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock).  Great poem, great line.  Good song.

Hmmm.... I kind of like this.

EDIT: I could do without the voice warbling mid-way through, though. A future listen could cause my initial rating to go either way.
