Some of us live like princes, some of us live like queens
Most of us live just like me and we don't know what it means
To take our place in one world
To make our peace in one world
To make our way in one world
To have our say in one world
If you ain't got two words to say then I can't talk to you
No use crying, there's been no crime, I say it's just the way the wind blows
Just the name of the game, the way of the world
Way of the world
Just the way of the world
Just the way of the world
So cold and lonely, cold and lonely
Cold and lonely world
Such a cold and lonely, cold and lonely
Cold and lonely world
Cold and lonely world
It's one world, like it or not
It's one world, believe it or not
It's one world
It's one world, believe it or not
It's one world, like it or not
It's one world

How did this bloke get a contract? Awful voice.

Well John's vocals were "distinctive", and take some getting used to. But damn, they're good. They certainly blow this guy out of the water.

Off to play some original JM now, I can't be doing with this ersatz tribute stuff. They'll be putting that awful Robert Smith version of "Small Hours" on soon, and that's more than I can stand.

stopped my RP connection and youtubed Master Martyn's fantastic version; wholey jeezus I'm goin to do the entire album, he is great.
So the massively superior original is still denied a place on the RP playlist, but this gets on? I don't understand, I really don't. So much brilliant JM out there which for some reason never makes it here. Small Hours, Fine Lines, Spencer the Rover... {#Wall}
Love Paolo, not so sure about this though {#Eek}
Fantastic!
i have some John Martyn, always like it when i hear it.
Hm.....
Never heard this before, but I'd like to hear it again, and other stuff on the album, too, please....

i just gave this a 10---first time I've heard it.
Like it!   Thanks for introducing me to this, RP.
I haven't listened to it yet - but I will soon.
I saw John Martyn loads of times In Dublin over the years - brilliant, brilliant.

The whole album is Awesome!
